OBJECTIVE

On their own, students should be able to apply the concepts and skills they learned in SSS and Economics to promote sustainability in a real-life community.

WHAT IS SUSTAINABILITY IN ECONOMICS?

MECHANICSEach class will be assigned a particular community in Pasig.

Each class will be divided into five groups with eight members each.

As a class, they will visit the community to assess their needs and resources by means of observation and interviews. (to be done in SSS)

MECHANICSAs a group, the students will brainstorm on potential business ideas which respond to the community’s needs and which are feasible given their available resources.

The groups will present their proposal to the community representative/s.

The community representative/s will select from among the five proposals presented to them.
