Local Material: SandThe site is sandy. It can be mixed with cement to create a soil-cement block. This is a laborintensive process that can employ the community. Cement block makers come in manual andmotor driven models. It will take an estimated 5% cement.

The cooling towers like those of African termites offerexcellent solutions for ventilation. In this hot and humidclimate ventilation is the best air conditioning. Simpleroof turbines (non-electric) and well placed walls andopenings can achieve this very cheaply.
