We are doing great things at our center.

From making smart facility decisions that support

environmental sustainability where ever we can, to

encouraging our users (a.k.a. all of us!) to modify

behaviors ultimately reducing our demand on

natural resources. It all adds up.

Joel Walker, our NASA JSC Sustainability Officer

was recognized for these outstanding contributions

in Keeping Houston Beautiful. Way to go JSC!

Keep up the good work. Read the

FY2016 Sustainability Engagement Strategy

to discover even more ways to live, work, and play

more sustainably.

SUSTAINABILITY OPPORTUNITIES NOV 2015

Nov 14th is America Recycles Day (ARD). Both ARD and Keep Houston Beautiful

have a long list of activities to participate in around our area and throughout

the year. You may wonder, “Is this something that I’ll have to do the rest of my

life?” YES!!! That’s the point. Sustainability requires us to keep working at it.

Your JSC Green team has finalized arrangements to tour the Waste

Management single-streamed recycled facility.

Tues Nov 10th, 10:15AM – 12:45PM Contact Anna Vitalis (JSC Global) to reserve your seat in the JSC

alternative fuel van.

AMERICA

RECYLCES!!!

HOW CAN I BE

MORE SUSTAINABLE?

Calculate your ecological footprint! How many

Earth’s does it take to sustain your lifestyle if everyone in the world lived like you?

“My goal as the JSC Center Operations

Director is to create a working environment

where JSC employees feel happy,

comfortable, and productive to support our

mission. Similarly, my vision for sustainability is

that it’s something we don’t even think about;

it’s ingrained in our thinking. We just do it.”
