TheColoradoCollegemissioncommitsustoprovidingthefinestLiberalArtseducationinthecountrybyembodyingourcorevalues. Sustainabilityisn'toptionalatColoradoCollege;it'scentral toourcommunityandtotheexampleswesetthroughallofourwork. WeaspiretomakeColoradoCollegeamodelforsustainabilityatalllevels– anacademiccommunitythatlivesitscommitmenttoathrivingfuture,honoringtheeconomic,socialandenvironmentalnarrativesofourcomplexecosystem.

• Philosophical ortheoreticalframeworksinwhichtoviewenvironmentalandsustainabilityissues (e.g.- morality,Maslow’sHeirarchy,etc.)
• Historical phenomenaandpatternsthathaveproducedmodernsustainabilityissues
• SocialJustice,EnvironmentalJustice,andotherequityconcernsthatinvestigatethecomplexsocialnetworksanddynamicsofpowerthatcanperpetuateandcomplicatesustainabilityissues(e.g.- environmentalandinstitutionalracism,foodaccess,etc.)
