The Surveying and Spatial Sciences Institute proudly invites you to participate in the prestigious Surveying & Spatial Sciences Institute Queensland Conference 2018 (formally known as QSSC). Being held at Brisbane City Hall from 23-24 August 2018, the SSSI Qld Conference 2018 is a unique platform for members of the surveying & spatial community to network, share ideas and learn about innovations and industry advancements. The theme this year is:

SPATIAL INNOVATION FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS

The SSSI Qld Conference 2018 is a regional showcase of surveying and spatial science that will focus on the latest trends, professional knowledge and technology. The Queensland Spatial Excellence Awards Dinner will also be held in Brisbane City Hall following the Conference, on the evening of Friday 24 August.

Who will be there? In Queensland, SSSI has a membership base of well over five hundred individuals operating across the surveying and spatial profession. Our members keenly support this annual event, along with key representatives from the spatial community and influential business managers, government departments and agency staff, and local council authorities. Now in its eighth year, the conference has gained critical acclaim across the spatial industry and we expect over two hundred surveying and spatial professionals and industry representatives to be present over the duration of the conference.

Location Brisbane City Hall is one of Queensland’s most significant heritage and cultural icons. Since its opening in 1930, Brisbane City Hall has been a symbol of civic pride and over the years it has become one of Brisbane’s greatest icons and the home of elegance and grandeur. As you enter the magnificent King George Square foyer the grandness of the marble staircases and the vaulted ceilings, chandeliers, and mosaic tiled floors will sure to impress our delegates.

Conference Supporter: Tertiary Students Sponsor – open to all We welcome sponsorship of Students to attend the SSSI Queensland Conference 2018 and encourage all Companies, not just Universities, to do so. The sponsorship enables access for unlimited numbers of SSSI students to the Conference (both or either days) at cost (minimum number = 5). Students will gain exposure to ground breaking information, technology, and hear of the latest innovations from leaders of the spatial sciences profession.

What’s included? - Access at below cost to one or two days of the SSSI Queensland Conference 2018 for

Students, unlimited numbers – registration fee per student - $90 for one day or $150 for two days ($210 with Welcome Reception included)

Terms and Conditions 1. Once sponsorship confirmation has been received, a Sponsorship Agreement and tax

invoice will be sent to the nominated contact person. Exhibition space will then be allocated depending upon sponsorship level, availability and on a first in basis.

2. To secure the sponsorship, a deposit of 25% is required. The package is deemed to be available until a deposit is received. Full payment must be received before the commencement of the Conference.

3. SSSI requires payment in full as outlined above and in the Sponsorship Agreement. Once the Sponsorship Agreement has been signed by both parties, all costs associated with the sponsorship package selected become the responsibility of the booking organisation. If payments are not received by the due dates, SSSI reserves the right to release the assigned opportunity.

4. If exhibition passes are required for company representatives to staff displays in addition to the number permitted in the sponsorship package, SSSI must be notified in writing. A maximum of TWO extra passes can be available at a special exhibitor rate, otherwise the staff will be required to register as a full delegate.

5. Any cancellations must be advised in writing as soon as possible. Cancellations received prior to 6 July 2018 will result in a 25% administration fee if the sponsorship opportunity is not resold. Refunds will be forwarded if SSSI is able to resell the opportunity. Subsequent cancellations (after 6 July 2018), dependent upon the possibility of resale, will be liable for the entire contracted amount. Any refunds will not be available until at least one month after the completion of the Conference.
