Surgery Resident Newsletter
Welcome to Spring,
This is the time of year for many meetings.
Congratulations to Jacob Wolozsyn, who won
1st place in the resident competition at the
Pacific Coast Surgical Association Annual
Meeting during February in Monterey. I have
included a picture from the event.
I have also included a photo of Dr. Salcedo
skiing at the Western Trauma Association
Meeting in Telluride, CO, where Dr. Cocanour
is the current president.
There is a lot going on this month:
ABSITE scores are back.
Match is March 20.
The program for Research Day is being
created.
Several fellowship interview processes
are going strong.

The service is looking to alter the intern
schedule to 24hr Q3 call instead of the
current shift schedule. I will let you know
when this is in place. Please remember to
look at the PDFs prior to coming on to
service. There is a protocol on the service
now in which you must call the fellow or
attending for certain conditions with your
patients.
