Surface Area of a Real Life Object

You can use any cereal box. To find the surface area of a cereal box. They may be different sizes but you can still find the surface area.

Have a Good EyeUse a ruler on the lines of the box to find the length and width of each section of the box. You can do this in any appropriate form of measurement (feet, inches centimeters, etc…). For the cereal box I thought that inches was most appropriate.

Time For Some MathNext multiply the length and width of each section of the cut cereal box. Then put that number in a line and add each section together. After you add them together you will get the total surface area of your cereal box.
