SCOPE OF WORK
1. Introduction
Orpic is the brand name for Oman Oil Refineries and Petroleum Industries Company SAOC. Orpic operates a 106 KBPSD hydro-skimming refinery at Mina-Al-Fahal (MAF) and a 116 KBPSD cracking Refinery with downstream Aromatics and Polypropylene plant at Sohar. Feedstock for both the refining complex is Oman Export Crude Blend (OEB) supplied by PDO from Mina Al Fahal. For the purpose of Refinery business planning, Orpic now intends to carry out detailed OEB crude assay analysis.
2. Scope of Services
Sample to be tested by bidder for complete crude characterization.
The specific properties to be analyzed for the various product cuts are as listed in the Appendix A-J
3. Minimum Technical Requirements
Laboratory shall be ISO 9001 - 2008 certified.
Laboratory shall be accredited to ISO 17025
International standard methods like ASTM (American standard Testing Materials) to be followed for testing
4. Facilities to be provided by Contractor
Sample containers and Auto Sampler Kit to be provided by the bidder to Orpic laboratory in advance Or Assign manpower to collect the sample at a predetermined time and frequency
Samples to be collected from Orpic Laboratory (MAF Refinery, Mina Al Fahal, Muscat) by the bidder.
5. Facilities Provided by Orpic
Orpic will arrange for the required gate passes and other facility access requirements for the bidder personnel to collect and take away the sample.
6. Reporting Requirements
Bidder to submit a full test report within 28 days’ time from the day of collecting the samples either by mail or hard copy.
One page (A3 Size) Summary report including all the product cuts along with yields and other properties to be submitted.
The report shall be submitted both in print (.pdf) and editable (.xls) format.

Whole Crude
a) Micro-cut TBP distillation data (every 10 deg C) with yields reported both in weight% and Vol% for the entire range from C4 to 565 deg C. (Method - ASTM D 2892 \ D 5236)
