Over the last few decades artificial insemination (AI) has been instrumental in increasing the production and productivity of dairy animals and thereby farmers’ income in the country. One of the signature benefits of AI is that the technology has the poten-tial of rapid dissemination of elite genetic material over a large geographical area. More and more dairy farmers are realizing that AI is the quickest way to augment the productivity of their milch animals and are adopting AI. Thereby the demand for quality semen has grown exponentially. In light of this, NDDB-Dairy Services, with its deep rooted commitment to foster the genetic improvement of milch animals in the country, is managing Sabarmathi Ashram Gausha-la, Bidaj and Animal Breeding Center, Salon the two top semen stations in the country. In addition, two new semen stations have been commissioned at Alamadhi, Tamil Nadu and Rahuri, Maharashtra. The semen produced from these semen stations are marketed under the brand Superior Animal Genetics (SAG).

These factors have helped us become the top selling and also the most revered semen brand in the country. The semen stations under the brand SAG maintain more than 1000 high pedigreed bulls of various breeds. SAG is the only brand offering great variety for indigenous cattle and buffaloes.
