SUPERINTENDENT'S REPORT BERRYVILLE BOARD OF EDUCATION

May 28, 2015 INTERMEDIATE CAFETORIUM

The Berryville Board of Education met for its regular monthly meeting at 6:00 p.m. in the Intermediate Cafetorium. Members Present: LeeAnn Ashford, Todd Howard, Kristi Howerton, Jeff Miles, Sherri Plumlee, & David Waller Members Absent: Chad Hipps The minutes and financial reports were approved by the Board. The Board received the Student, Teacher, & District Recognitions. The Board approved the following requests for the 2014-15 & 15-16 school year:

FFA – Several Annual Fundraisers

Senior High Cheer – Sell Scentsy, Ads for Football Programs, Car Wash, & Bake Sale

FBLA – Donations at Wal Mart, Car Wash, & donations from local businesses

Yearbook – Attend a two-day workshop in Mustang, OK

The Board received written Buildings/Grounds/Facilities updates from Doug Harris. The Board approved adding policies 3.52 and 8.51 to the Personnel Policy Manual as recommended by the PPC. The Board directed Mr. Scoggins to arrange continuing training and cross training for the finance department. The Board approved the student transfer requests as submitted. The Board approved the disposal of the technology equipment as submitted. The Board approved the Out-Of-State travel for the Athletics Department. The Board approved the purchase of summer cleaning supplies from D&G Sales for $10,398.79. The Board received the Community Information, Testing Data, and Parental Involvement Information submitted by Mindy Hicks. The Board approved increasing the cafeteria meal prices by .05 for the 2015-16 school year. The Board approved renewing the Migrant Education Agreement for the 2015-16 school year. Mr. Scoggins presented the Standards Accreditation Report to the Board.

The Board approved adding a third grade position to the district due to student numbers in that grade. The Board received reports from the Principals. Mr. Scoggins reported that as of May there were 2,016 students attending Berryville School. The Board approved moving the next regular monthly school board meeting to Thursday, June 18th. Sherri Plumlee distributed Bright Futures Brochures to the Board. The Board approved hiring the following Classified Employees for the 2015-16 school year: Chrissy Kahler Custodian Summer Fultz APSCN/E School Clerk The Board approved Ralph McCormick as a Summer School Bus Driver. The Board accepted the following Resignation/Retirement Letters:
