District GoalsThe Central Point School District is committed to providing educational experiences that prepare every student for success in six areas: Core Knowledge, Creative Problem Solving, Collaboration, Transition, Communication and Character. Standardized testing is only one indicator of student success and preparation for a standardized test is not our primary purpose. We strive to support and challenge our students with innovative instruction, authentic learning experiences, a wide range of curricular and extra-curricular programs, and opportunities to serve the community.
State GoalsThe Oregon Department of Education is working in partnership with school districts and local communities to ensure a 90% on-time, four year graduation rate by 2025. To progress toward this goal, the state will prioritize efforts to improve attendance, invest in implementing culturally responsive practices, and promote continuous improvement to close opportunity and achievement gaps for historically and currently underserved students.
