Issue # 9 May 2017 Newsletter
As we enter the last month of the 2016-17 there are still
many activities yet to occur. Weather has put a limit on the
spring sports as very few contests have been held. Baseball, golf,
and track will conclude their seasons at the end of the month
with playoffs. The instrumental and vocal music groups will
attend the state competition the first weekend in May.
Pre-School students will have their program on May 4th and their
last day of school will be May 11th. The seniors will have their
senior banquet on May 10th. The senior trip is scheduled for
Minneapolis May 12th through the 14th. The last day of classes
for the school year will be May 25th and the school year will offi-
cially end with graduation on May 28th at 3:00 PM.
Mrs. Elsperger (2nd Grade Teacher), Mrs. Lybeck (Title
Teacher) and Mrs. Komrosky (1st Grade Teacher) will retire at the
end of the school year. They have all three made a difference in
many students’ lives over the years and will be greatly missed.
We would like to thank them for all they
have done for the North Star and Cando
Schools and wish them well in their re-
tirement. There will be a staff apprecia-
tion breakfast in their honor on
May 16th.

very exciting time for our
seniors as they

their lives. We wish them all the best and as Walt Disney advised,
“Whatever you do, do it well.”
In the coming weeks, the seventh through eleventh grade students
will be pre-registering for classes for the 2017-2018 school year. In early
August, students will come back for final registration. The first day of
