An introduction to “Kyratec”

Kyratec, established in June 2009, is a biotechnology company which develops, manufactures and supplies laboratory diagnostic equipment, reagents and consumables for the international bioscience market.

The name ‘Kyratec’ might be new, but it carries a wealth of expertise behind it. Our core team has decades of experience in the research, design, manufacture, marketing, distribution and support of cutting edge bioscience products. We have channeled this energy and knowledge into generating a fresh company, Kyratec.

Our fundamental goals are to provide the industry with reliable, user friendly and cost effective products whilst meeting and exceeding customer expectations.

We presently have released our first product, the SuperCyclerTM which has received great customer feedback, and have an exciting suite of new products underway which are due for release incrementally over 2010.

What is the SuperCyclerTM ?

With its stylish yet compact design, an intuitive and attractive graphical interface, excellent PCR results and the simplest operation, the SuperCycler is everything your customer needs from thermal cycler. The SuperCycler is a high performance block cycling system configured and optimized for industry standard 200ul individual or strip tubes (domed or flat-capped) or 96-well plates (low or high skirt) with strip caps or adhesive film seals.

Boasting a large 7’’ colour touch screen, the SuperCycler offers the most vibrant and flexible user interface of any standard block cycler on the market. Configuration and profile setup are easy and intuitive. Temperatures are vividly displayed in real time during the run.

SuperCycler’s 8 peltier with 4 independent controllers and feedback sensors allows for high thermal uniformity and linear gradient ability.

The SuperCycler’s highly intuitive software is easy to program. Users can commence programming with a few very simple screen taps.

A USB port allows for fast files transfer between units or a PC for email to colleagues.
