The Obituary
Ms. Betty Carol McBryde Bethea was born on January 17, 1956 to the late French and Carrie Bell McBryde in Raeford, NC. She departed this life on November 23, 2018 at Cape Fear Valley Hospital. Ms. Betty was educated in the Hoke County School System and graduated class of 1974. She was a faithful member of Peace Memorial Christian Church Disciples of Christ. She worked for Barbee Pharmacy in Raeford, NC for over 20 years. She worked with foster children at Family Services for many years. Ms. Betty was preceded in death by her brothers, Willie J. McBryde and Rosevelt McBryde. She leaves to cherish her memories four children, Camelitha Parrilla and Sheba Rollins (Ephram) of Fayetteville, NC, Johnny Ray, Jr. of Raeford, NC and Lakisha Ray of Atlanta, GA; two special children, John Leak (Toya) of Raeford, NC and Angela McFayden (Tyrone) of Fayetteville, NC; three granddaughters, Kailah Campbell, Ariana Parrilla and Gabbie “Little Momma” Ray; one son-in-law, Jose Parrila; two daughters-in-law, Denise Brown and Trishonda; five sisters, Willie Watkins of Patterson, NJ, Mary Watkins of Patterson, NJ, Frances Baxter of Haledon, NJ, Helen McBryde of Wanaque, NJ and Deloris Reels of Patterson, NJ; brother, French McBryde, Jr. of Elizabeth, NJ; three sisters-in-law, Rita McBryde of NC, Lois McBryde of Newark, NJ and Barbara McBryde of Patterson, NJ; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
