Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespass-es, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but de-liver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.

GREAT DECISIONSSPONSORED BY THE FOREIGN POLICY ASSOCIATIONGROWTHE UNITED NATIONS AT 70 | APR. 21Sponsored by the Foreign Policy Associa-tion, Great Decisions is America’s largest dis-cussion program on world affairs. Join us at 4:30 p.m. on Apr. 21 in the Robertson Room for this month’s topic discussion: “The Unit-ed Nations Post-2015.” On the eve of its 70th birthday, the United Nations is at a cross-roads. This year marks a halfway point in the organization’s global effort to eradicate poverty, hunger and discrimination, as well as ensure justice and dignity for all peoples. But as the United Nation’s 193 members look back at the success of the millennium development goals, they also must assess their needs for its sustainable development goals — a new series of benchmarks, which are set to expire in 2030. With the appoint-ment of the ninth Secretary-General in the near future as well, the next U.S. President is bound to have quite a lot on his or her plate going into office. The 2016 Great Decisions topic books are available in the church of-fice for $20. Questions? Contact Mary Anne Larzelere at [email protected].
