TRUE CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY Can you imagine a world such as the one put before us in today’s scripture readings? Communities of believers everywhere would support and encourage one another and be identi ied as Christians by the way they love each other. It would be a world with no tears, no death and mourning, no crying out in pain. “Behold, I make all things new,” we hear the Son of God say in the second reading from the book of Revelation (21:5). Is this world of John’s vision only imaginary? Are these faithful followers for whom Jesus prayed only a savior’s dream? Today they are put before us as a worthy goal. How much closer can we come to this vision of a true Christian community in our lives today?

Catholic Appeal Update
The St. Bridget Parish Catholic Appeal campaign is off to a wonderful start. As of April 19, 2016 we have received $115,213.00 which represents 95% of our goal.
The early outpouring of support from many helps sustain the important ministries that make St.
Bridget Parish a vibrant place of worship. If you would like to make your pledge, please take a pledge form from the back of the church or pledge online at bostoncatholicappel.org. Thank you for your prayers for a successful Catholic Appeal.
Restore our Church Campaign— Phase II Update
As of April 15, 2016 we have received $105,191.00. That leaves less than $50,000.00 to go, thank you so much for your support! If you have not yet made a contribution, please feel free to do so now. If your next pledge payment is due, please send it to the rectory or drop in the collection basket on the weekend.

Help-a-Student Fund
Saint Bridget School is deeply rooted in the Catholic Traditions. Our collaborative environment nurtures academic excellence, social responsibility & Christian values in a changing & challenging world. Saint Bridget School partners with families and our Church to develop the whole person within a community of faith. As its primary goal, the HAS Fund is to assist needy students with their yearly tuition at Saint Bridget School. We need to keep the HAS Fund alive and well to do this. CAN YOU HELP? Checks may be made payable to St. Bridget HAS FUND and sent to the Rectory… “since no student should be denied a Catholic education because of tuition”. If you are interested in ‘adopting a student’, please contact Maria Sebastian (Bus. Mgr.) at (508) 875–5959.
Your donation will be fully tax deductible.

Religious Education has come to a close for this school year. I want to thank those men and women, who shared their faith with the children, leaving their jobs to come teach on Wednesday afternoons. Those teachers were parents, grandparents or parishioners, without children in the program, whose gift of time is priceless.
