Sanctuary Lamp Intentions
Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men” (Colossians 3:23) Dear Blessed Trinity Family, Year after year, our parish festival brings us together to create beautiful memories that last a lifetime. The Lord blessed us abundantly this year with good weather (for the most part). It takes a lot of hard work and sacrifice to put such an event together, but we do so gladly because we know that we are working for the Lord. When we see our children having such a good time, we realize it is all worth it!
I would like to thank each person who collaborated to make the festival a success. Know of my deep gratitude for all you have done and will continue to do for the parish. Many worked all four days nonstop; so many others worked behind the scenes for many weeks and months leading up to the festival. A special word of thanks to Cynthia Gonzalez for her leadership.
May the Lord continue to bless you abundantly as together we build His kingdom.
Love and prayers, Fr.
Our second collection today is to support the Catholic Campaign for Human Development. There are over 46 million people in the United States living in in poverty, and this collection supports programs to empower local communities to address the challenges they face. The Catholic Campaign for Human Development supports those living in poverty across the country to identify and address the unique obstacles they face as they work to lift themselves out of poverty. In addition, 25 percent of funds collected will remain in our diocese to fund local anti-poverty projects. By supporting this collection, you are giving those on the margins a hand up, not a hand out.
Please be generous.
