PRIESTS PRAYER AFTER COMMUNION�“What has passed our lips as food, O Lord, we possess in purity of heart, that what has been given to us in time may be our healing for eternity.”�This great little prayer is said by the priest after receiving Commun-ion, but it may also be a great prayer for all of us to pray as we re-ceive Our Lord in Communion. �

This group is designed as a psycho�educational support group, and is open to anyone who is grieving the loss of a loved one. The loss could be recent or in the past. The group is designed to assist you in your grieving process and will have its next meeting tomorrow, Mon-day, November 6, 2017 from 7:00 to 8:00 PM in the School.��

POOR PEOPLE’S DINNER�Join Project Hospitality as we mark the 20th Annual Poor People’s Dinner, Staten Island’s largest interfaith event. We will pause to honor the poor and come together as a community to share this unique and sacred meal that unites all Staten Islanders, rich, middle class and poor at the same table. ��

ANNUAL BOY SCOUT PANCAKE BREAKFAST�Come join us in supporting the Boy Scouts at St. Teresa’s today, November 5, 2017 from 8:00am to 1:00pm. �The event will be held in St. Teresa’s gym at 1634 Victory Blvd. There is a $7.00 entrance fee without a flyer and $5.00 with a copy of the flyer in the vestibule. HOLY NAME SOCIETY NEWS:�2017 MEMORIAL CHRISTMAS TREES�

The Holy Name Society is sponsoring the placing of Christ-mas trees for the upcoming season. Parishioners wishing to honor the memory of a loved one can purchase these trees which will be placed in the island in front of the entrance of the Church, along the side of the Church and in the grassy area along Watchogue Rd. �The trees will be decorated with lights ONLY to maintain a neat and uniform appearance. �A laminated sign with the name of the loved one will be dis-played on the tree. �A nativity scene will also be displayed in front of the Church. �The cost of each tree will be $200 and will be sold on a first come first serve basis. �Forms are available in the lobby. �Parishioners wishing to purchase a tree should complete the form and submit it with their pay-ment to the rectory. �Checks should be made payable to the Holy Name Society.��

4TH ANNUAL DOO�WOP DINNER DANCE � �DECEMBER 9TH�

Come join us on Saturday, December 9th, from 6 to 11pm, in the Monsignor Glynn Center for Holy Family’s 4th Annu-al Doo�Wop Dinner Dance sponsored by the Holy Name So-ciety. �Featured this year will be the Tuesday @ Eight band, the 360 Entertainment DJ and Jenna Esposito & Her Band singing the songs of Connie Francis. �A memora-ble evening is guaranteed for all. �The cost is $50 per person and includes hot catered food, beer, wine, soda, coffee, tea and dessert. �50/50 tickets and raffle tickets will be sold at the event. �Admission tickets can be purchased at the Recto-ry beginning this week. Beginning November 18th admis-sion tickets will be sold in the lobby before and after each Mass. �Don’t wait till the last minute to buy tickets and get shut out. �Last year’s dance was sold out with over 300 at-tendees.�Thank you for your continued support.��

DAY OF THANKSGIVING DINNER�NOVEMBER 21�

The Holy Family Holy Name, Rosary Altar Societies, and the Sports Program will be co�hosting a Day of Thanksgiv-ing buffet dinner for our parishioners in the Monsignor Glynn Center on Tuesday, November 21st from 5 to 8pm to give thanks to God for what we have and to ask for His con-tinued blessings. Admission is free. Limited seating is available; those wishing to attend must call the rectory. Res-ervations will be done on a first�come, first�serve basis.��

PILGRIMAGE TO LOURDES (Feb. 5�13)�Vicar of the Parish of St. Vincent Ferrer and St. Catherine of Siena, invites you to join him on a Pilgrimage to Lourdes, Paris, Navers and Lisieux. Pilgrims will join in the celebra-tion for the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes. Pilgrims will visit the places associated with the life of St. Bernadette and ven-erate her incorrupt body.
