VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL GOES TO

BACK YARD BIBLE CLUBS June 22-26

We have a team of parents coming together to plan Backyard Bible Clubs as an

outreach mission opportunity for our church. We need teams of youth and adults willing to lead in different areas at each home: crafts,

music, recreation, and sharing a bible lesson. We also need volunteers to serve in preparing the snacks for each day. You can sign up with

Mary in the office.

Towards the end of summer we will look to do a day VBS camp when it is safe for us to come together in larger

groups here at the church.

Please be in prayer for us as we plan the best way for us to minister to our neighbors and church family.

UPCOMING DATES FOR KIDS

YOUTH NEWS

It’s hard to believe that this weekend is Memorial Day weekend. It seems so surreal that it’s already upon us. But honestly, with my schedule so interrupt-ed by this virus, I think I lost track of most of April and some of March and May. But I think the virus has reminded me not to take for granted the oppor-tunity to worship together. There are places where believers would find free-dom to worship a difficult concept to understand because it is so foreign from what they experience in every day life. I am looking forward to our being back together in a limited format this Sunday but I am truly looking forward to when we can join together as an entire body and the choir can fill the choir loft again and bless our worship with their message in music. I was amazed how much I took that freedom for granted until we couldn’t do it anymore (and I was still here on Sunday morning even if it was in a more limited capacity). As I remembered it was Memorial Day weekend, I couldn’t help but wonder if I also take for granted the sacrifice of men and women who insisted over 200 years ago that the Bill of Rights be amended to the Constitution and that it guaranteed freedom of religion. We have had men and women die in far away lands to guarantee that right. It has come with such a high price and we need to always be grateful and understand that we shouldn’t take that right for granted. Will you commit to stopping and praying this Memorial Day? To thank God for this right and pray for the families of those who have paid that sacrifice so you and I can worship in freedom! See you Sunday, Randy

Hello Church! A big day this coming Sunday as we finally return to service, albeit in a limited fashion.

A letter will go out to everyone about the changes that will take place Sunday, and about some details you need to be aware of. Additionally, the letter will be on our Facebook page and website in the very near future. I will do my best to make sure that all concerns are addressed in the letter, but if I forget something (ok, when I forget something) just call the church and we’ll get it addressed to everyone.

I want to impress 2 things in this article.

First...do not come back unless you are ready to. That is a decision for you to make. The fact that the doors will be open, doesn’t mean that you have to come. We will still be having our online services on Facebook and the website, just like we have since this whole thing started. Again...DO NOT COME if you aren’t ready!

Secondly...we need to all understand that each of us have different feelings con-cerning the response to this virus. Some take it very seriously and some don’t. Some will wear masks this Sunday, and some won’t. Some may be perfect-ly fine broaching the 6 foot perimeter, others absolutely will not. And some will want to hug and shake hands, and some won’t be ready for that.

Whatever your personal position may be, we must all be respectful of the opinions of our fellow church family members. As such, the best way to do that, is to main-tain the 6 foot perimeter while around others, and please...don’t try and hug. You don’t know how the other person will respond, and the best way to avoid any un-comfortable situations, is to not try and hug.

Keep your distance. Don’t hug. Don’t shake hands. Please. The time will come when those things return, at least that’s what I believe.

But until that time, let’s be loving and respectful, and abide by these simple guide-lines.

Again, be looking for more details in the near future.

It’s a baby step, but at least it’s a step! Love you all, and I will see you Sunday! Bro. Chris

All Active Group activities are postponed until further notice. The senior adult community is at a higher risk of contracting Covid-19 from social interactions. We encourage all of our Senior Adults to carefully practice social distancing during this time of pandemic.
