we pray in gratitude for motherswho brought new life into our world.

You, who became human through a woman,Grant, we pray, to all mothers

the courage needed to face the uncertain futurethat life with children brings,

in particular, during these complicated times.

ALLALLBestow upon them, we pray,

the strength to live and to be loved in return,not perfectly, but humanly.

Provide the support they needas they care for the physical

and spiritual growth of all children.

LEADERLEADEROn this day we remember, O Lord,

there are timeswhen only a mother's lovecan understand our tears,

soothe our disappointments,and calm all of our fears.

ALLALLThere are times when only a mother's love

can share the joy we feelwhen something we've dreamed about quite

suddenly becomes real.There are times when only a mother's faith

can inspire in usthe confidence we need to face

the challenges of life.Lord, hear our prayers of gratitude.
