PRAISING GOD
Epiphany Reading: Psalm 72: 1-7, 10-14
Leader: Like rain that falls on newly mown grass and showers that water the earth, righteousness will flourish and peace will abound.
People: The kings of Tarshish render tribute to the King of kings. The kings of Sheba and Seba bring gifts, and all kings fall down before the Prince of Peace.

Leader: For God delivers the needy, takes pity on the weak, and saves the poor. From oppression and violence God redeems their lives, and precious is their blood in God’s sight.

CONFESSING AND RECONCILING
Prayer of Confession:
Leader: Radiant God,
People: we yearn to walk in your way but often choose our own path of turmoil and pain. Save us, Lord,
from the pride and foolishness of choosing our own course,
that we may humbly and confidently follow your lead, through Jesus Christ, Amen.
Hear our Words of Assurance:
Leader: Throughout the tumult of life, God holds you close in love. Rejoice, because God’s wisdom is your guide, God’s compassion is your strength. God’s love is your redemption.

HEALTH AND WELLNESS
Healthy Reflections – Body, Mind and Spirit
“Grace and peace to you from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. We ought always to thank God for you, brothers
and sisters, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love every one of you has for each other is increasing.” 2 Thessalonians 1: 2-3
As we learn and live the way of Jesus Christ – we nurture each other.
As we enter into this new year, may we plant and nurture love, faith and hospitality among ourselves and with our neighbours. May God, through the Spirit, provide the increase to these seeds planted in good faith.

Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done,
on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Save us from the time of trial and deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.
