Readings for the Day:
Daniel 3:1, 8-30: Shadrach, Meshach and Abenego face the
decision of either bowing down to an idol of a false god or
beingthrown into a fiery furnace. The three trust in God and face
theconsequences for disobeying the order to bow down. God
isfaithful and protects them while they are in the furnace.
John 18:33-38: In Johns gospel, the story of Jesus and
Pilatepresents two different ways of exercising power: through
force orwith love.
