Thank you! You grow spiritually with each moment you spend with Jesus! FROM THE PASTOR Dear parishioners, Today Jesus tells us that we must be servants of all in order to be great in His kingdom. James and John were seeking to have a special place in His kingdom but Jesus tells them it involves much suffering. Let us be servants of all and offer our sufferings up for the sake of the kingdom of God. If anyone wants to begin a bible study or start some particular ministry in the parish please give me a call. I am here to enable you to do such things. If everybody does something, then we can do a lot together. The work on the bell tower is coming along nicely. It should be finished soon. I was talking with Fr. Joseph Brennan the other day. He told me that Msgr. Bourgeois made the church without front doors so that people would not leave church early. They would have to go through the side doors in front of a bunch of people which might deter them. Msgr. Teurlings use to send the altar boys with candles after somebody leaving church early because they still had Jesus within them. That would truly be a deterrent. Sincerely in Christ, Fr. PARISHIONERS FOR LIFE: MOTIVATING MEMBERS TO HELP END ABORTION

Upcoming Prayer CampaignsOctober 14th-22nd: Novena to St. John Paul II

October 17th- 25th: Novena for Priests, leading to Priesthood Sunday

To download a copy of the prayers recited during these times, please visit our website under the

section “Parishioners for Life.”The Triumph of Life

“As today’s pro-life community often is, Paul was regularly ridiculed: indeed, he suffered far worse than ridicule, for the truth about God, God’s law, and the natural law makes many uncomfortable.

Those who resist God’s law don’t want to be reminded of its demands. This is no less true in our time than in Paul’s. And so we pray for the conversion of those whose hearts have been

made hard by the sin of abortion and the sin of its propagation. We pray for the courage and

persistence of St. Paul, as we endeavor to spread the Gospel of Life. We pray for the triumph of life”

(Cardinal William Keeler, January 22, 2006).
