The first day of spring may be in March, but April is when it starts to feel like winter is over. Take advantage of the warmer weather and the longer days by taking a walk, going for a ride, or just sitting near a window in a ray of sunshine.
April 1st is April Fools' Day, let’s have fun! We will also be celebrating Easter. Let’s enjoy this season and all the sights and sounds of spring. There's lots of excitement happening in our community this month of April. We are adding new flowers to the courtyard and it will be beautiful. Our putting green is now open and ready for our outdoor golf activity.
April is shaping up to be a busy month. We have lots of activities planned both indoors and outdoors. This month we will be having movie night outing and we will be going to Fireside Lanes for our bowling outing.
We have some great performers lined up for our music program, it's known that music has healing powers, and we're proud to bring this program in our community. Music is good for the spirit, however young or old you may be. That is why here at Sun Oak we strive to bring music to all our residents. Our goal is to pull all their heart strings and get them motivated to feel the music and want to move to the beat.

Anka S. Anka is our Employee of the Month. She works
in our housekeeping department. Anka has been here at this community for 12 years. She has a
smile that is very contagious, and we are all glad to see it whenever we can. We congratulate you

Resident of the Month
Walter is our Resident of the Month. He has been part of our community for about six months. Walter was born and raised in New Orleans, LA. He served in the United States Air Force for over 20 years. While serving in the U.S. Air force, Walter worked for the Strategic Air Command working on bombers. After retiring from U.S. Air Force active duty, Walter worked as a civilian employee for McClellan Air Force Base.
Walter's hobbies included golfing, fishing, and bowling. He also enjoyed hanging out with friends and family, going to jazz and blues concerts, traveling and cooking. Some of Walter's favorite dishes to make are gumbo, dirty rice, seafood stew, and seafood boil.
