It s  gol d lettered  message read: Hats  Off to Sun Citizens. The most elaborate event of Sun City s recent Third  Annual  Western Days was its  colorful mile- long parade. From  parkways, parking lots,  front porches and street corners. Sun Citians viewed a procession of horseback riders, floats, bands,  horseless  carriages, horseless stage coaches  and pedal pushers. Parade members,  like  the Pied Piper of  Hamelin, led  scores  of residents to the Sun  ity  Shopping Center, where festivities continued for two mid- October days. The November Sun Dial  edition reviews high lights  of the Sun  ity  Shopping Center Merchants Association-sponsored Western-Flavored program. Ladies of the Town Hall  Exercise Class, wearing matching  gym  outfits, were first  to entertain with a series  of calisthenics. The Maricopa Mustangers put their steeds through some brisk paces,  after a concert  presenta tion by the 541st  Air  Force Band. Resident Laddie Houska s Magic Show closed out afternoon per formances. That evening the Sun  ity  Round and Square Continued  on  Page  4) SUN  CITY  OR  BUSTI was inscribed  on  side  of  horse- less  stagecoach constructed by  n ew  resident Sandy  San- ford and,  here, driven  by wife Leila. Sandy temporarily cancelled home organizing and  golf play  to  transform S  hi s  electric cart  for  Western Days  festivities.
