• Remember to turn in your award declarations at the double
point show. Points will not be counted unless your forms
are submitted. If in doubt – ask! Don’t miss out!!
• Memberships for 2016 are due! Membership form is in the
newsletter! Paid membership guarantees your this
wonderful newsletter each month Need to be a current
member for your 2016 points to count and to qualify for the
various year end awards.
• Please remember the new helmet rule for youth goes into
effect for 2016: All riders under 18 years must wear an approved certified ASTM/SEI helmet for English and bareback while riding in the show arena!!
• Plans are being made for the 2016 Judges Clinic. Have a
good idea? Please contact Donna Staack with your great

• ISHSA is sharing a booth with the Miniature Horse Club at
2016 Horse Expo coming up April 15th ,16th & 17th.

ISHSA General Meeting April 6, 2016 Shiloh Inn Canyon Creek
The meeting was called to order by Andrea at 7:30 Attendance: Mary, Donna B, Jamey, Mel, Anne, Susan, Deneen, Dixie, Linda, Tami, Barb & Andrea. Minutes - Minutes were read then approved. Moved by Mel /Dixie. Motion passed unanimously. Treasurers Report: The checking account has $8,597.49, scholarship $4,133.18. Mary gave us a report itemizing the bills paid & the outstanding bills. Report is on file. Committee Reports Deneen reported on the banquet. The date for the 2017 banquet is Jan 17, the other dates we suggested were booked. The tickets sold at the banquet totaled $828.00 for 39 adults & 6 kids. Donations for the banquet received in the amount of $3,809.95 from Connie Graves, Mel & Anne Gahley, Butch & Andrea Mowdy, Donna & Duane Staack (2 sponsorships) Donna Bernardelli, Id Miniature club & Karen Frings. Thank you folks for the support. ISHSA granted awards & payouts for the 2015 show year in these amounts; Saddle up $906.30, Dry creek $1,2864.00, D&B (gift cards) $2,864.00 total $4,989.00. Payback & buckles total $3,809.95. We hope that you all enjoyed your awards & will come show with us again next year. Awards committee would like feedback on awards what you liked, what you suggest etc. Respond to Deneen. Double Point Show report: Barb reported that profit from winter fund raiser shows had a profit of $935.87 as the club reimbursed Wade for the pizza at the first show for $30.00. Double Point show change in judges for trail, Dixie will fill in for Matt Livengood who had the opportunity to go to Australia. Hi points are ordered & here. There will be 127 classes. 1st place under both judges will receive an award. Barb asked for $250.00 to complete the spring double point show. Donna B/Jamey moved we grant the request of $250.00 for misc , snacks etc for the spring double point show. Motion passed unanimously BARB IS LOOKING FOR SOME SCRIBES & PEOPLE TO HAND OUT AWARDS. PLEASE GIVE HER A SHOUT. Scholarship Fund $4,133.18 fund gained 18 cents interest. No report was given. Newsletter & website. Jamey is working on the website, requested pictures so she can freshen the website. Donna B mentioned if we have a photographer perhaps they would share some of their photos if the photographer was given credit for the photo used on the website. EPRB/LOC: Dixie gave the report in Donna S absence. Dates for the judges clinic is Oct 7 & 8 at the Birt arena. The rules board would like some feedback on what classes need to be presented & other ideas. Anne mentioned we need to do a scribes & ring steward session with our judges clinic. Linda Mims volunteered to head that committee. Please respond to Donna S with ideas & suggestions. Rulebooks hopefully be done by the first show. Show bills NEED TO BE TO THE RULES BOARD 60 DAYS BEFORE THE DATE OF SHOW. New business: ISHSA will share a booth at the expo with the Id Miniature Club. Jamey had a new banner made for ISHSA. If you can help please get in touch with Jamey. Please stop by & check it out. Old business: Andrea brought up the audit for 2016, due to busy schedules the audit hasn't been completed. Mel/Barb moved we delay the audit until after the fall double point show then complete the audit for 2016. Motion passed unanimously. Next meeting May 4th 7:30. Mel/Susan moved we close the meeting. No executive meeting was held.
