June 20-24 *Steve Sandner / Holly McGuire's Windy City Ensemble- The stage is illuminated with their warm upbeat style that won't be outclassed. A delightful blend of jazz, pop, blues and Motown. June 27- 1 Marcus Belgrave's Detroit Jazz Alliance- Former Motown soloist w/ Marvin Gaye, Ray Charles & The Four Tops, leads group. One of the worlds most captivating jazz showmen & trumpet players. July 4- 8 The "Naturals"- Hip, swinging acoustic jazz.... refreshing mix of the unusual instrumentation of jazz mandolin, classical guitar, string bass, harmonica and drums. Extraordinary vocals. West Michigan Jazz Masters- All-star ensemble features the areas favorite veteran leaders and soloists fronted by the "Dean of West Michigan classic jazz," Curt Purnell. Randy Marsh & Organissimo w/ Harvey Thompson- Funky/soulful' jazz organ jams w/ the emphasis on collective composition and improvisation. International award winning vocalist. Louisvilles' Juggernaut Jug Band- Not only jazz, blues, ragtime, swing, and original music- Jazzy guitar, trumpet, washboard, washtub bass, kazoos, and jugs, "taking their music and fun seriously. Edgar Struble; West Coast Jazz Reflections- LA's original music director & arranger for Kenny Rogers, performs his own brand of music - a unique personal mixture of jazz and pop. Donnie Rodgers/Chris ¡Vtoberley/Rick Hicks Association-Annual favorite .red hot rhythm & blues, groove, rock and funk flavored jazz guitar/organ dual...at its finest. The Mark Kahny Band w/ Edye Evans-Hyde- Standards, show tunes, pop, R&B classics and cabaret favorites led by the tasteful funky-blues styling of instrumental vocalist Kahny. Robin Connell / Paul Brewer Quartet- Tasty blend of classic piano/vocals with sophisticated arrangements and trombone lead. Michigan Nighthawks- Chicago & New Orleans style Dixieland jazz. 'General Assembly Big Band will be performing that Saturday in Baldwin in place of theSteve Sandner Group.
