DAY 01: HO CHI MINH CITY ARRIVAL (--/--)

Meet on arrival at Ho Chi Minh City / Tan Son Nhat

International Airport and transfer to hotel. Ho Chi

Minh City, still called Saigon by many locals, is a Center

of commerce, finance, culture and tourism in Vietnam.

Free at leisure for exploring the city. Overnight in Ho

Chi Minh city.

DAY 02: HO CHI MINH CITY TOUR (B/L/--)

After breakfast, the sightseeing tour acquaints us with

the city’s major sights. We pass the now-demolished

wartime American Embassy before exploring the

Reunification Palace which was the former residence

of the President of South Vietnam until end of April

1975. Close to this palace are some French colonial structures including the Notre Dame

Cathedral and the Old Saigon Post Office, City theatre, City People Committee Hall. After

lunch, free at leisure for shopping at the down town. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city.

Optional tour: Cu Chi tunnel

We drive to Cu Chi (75 km northwest of Ho Chi Minh City) to visit an amazing complex of

underground tunnels the former stronghold of Viet Cong with a network of tunnels three

levels deep stretching over 200km.

DAY 03: HO CHI MINH CITY – BEN TRE ( MEKONG DELTA) (B/-/D)

The boat will cruise along the Ben Tre river (a branch of the Mekong) and stop off at

various local workplaces to give you a picture of how the local economy works, including a

brickworks, where bricks are still painstakingly made by hand; bees keeping farm, where

you can try honey tea, some kinds of tropical fruits and listen the traditional music.

Then we go through the zigzag canal to visit a coconut candy workshop, where you can try

fresh coconut candy and see how every single part of this versatile nut is turned into food

and other products.

The boat will then stop at a quiet village where you can have a short walk to experience

real Delta village life, before boarding your Xe Loi (a kind of motorized rickshaw) and

traveling into the forest. It’s time to board a sampan for a relaxing trip along narrow

canals. Stopping at a riverside restaurant for a delicious and filling lunch, featuring such

local specialties as elephant-ear fish…, washed down with some cold drinks or beers.

After lunch, you will then hop onto a bicycle for a fun ride through the forest to Mr.

Khanh’s house. He is a passionate antiques collector and his house is jam packed full of

fascinating artefacts from Vietnam and elsewhere in Asia. He also has some fascinating

family albums dating back to French colonial times.

You will then get back on your bike and cycle back to the family home where you will have

a cooking lesson featuring local dishes. Overnight at homestay.

DAY 04: BEN TRE – CAN THO (B/L/--)

Have breakfast, check out. Cycle to Phu Nhuan local

market (approx.. 1,5 hours) and visit the market. Get on

boat and cruising along Ham Luong river (one of

branches of Mekong River). Seeing activities on the

river: fishing… Go upstream to Mo Cay River you can

see coconut forest along the river. Stop at Hoa Phu boat

station (around 65 minutes). Ride bicycle in the village

path to discover the village of Mekong Delta (about 6

km). Visit traditional career village to visit traditional coconut workshops along the

riverside: coconut fibber workshop, coconut processing workshop, coconut oil factory with

traditional way. Stop at Thom market.

Transfer to Can Tho. Hotel check-in. Overnight in Can Tho.

DAY 05: CAN THO (B/--/D)

In the early morning, we will take boat to visit Cai Rang floating market, one of the most

lively floating markets of the Delta, with wonderful

photo opportunities. Witness the fascinating scenes,

the hustle and bustle of vendors and small boats laden

with fruits. We will pull up to the merchants for talking

and bargaining. Boat through the green water

landscape to see local houses, verdant orchards and

ship-building yards.

Transfer to Cai Son homestay by boat. Then take a bike

ride along the path of fruit orchards. This is chance to blend yourself with the daily life of

local people, simple but typical such as birds singing, cocks warbling at sunset, the south of

the motor boat on the river, the country song from the leaf house.... while walking on the

village road, you may catch the picture of children bathing in the river, ladies rowing boat

which full of local product. You can feel the hospitality of the local people. Have dinner at

local people’s house. Free in the evening. Overnight in homestay.

DAY 06: CAN THO – HO CHI MINH CITY (B/-/-)

You will be awake by the south of village; the cock crown, the people call each other to go

to the field, the country song from the radio ... having simple breakfast, farewell the host

and transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City. Check in hotel in Ho Chi Minh city.

DAY 7: HO CHI MINH CITYC – LONG HAI BEACH (B/-/-)

After breakfast, Phuoc Hai beach (120km from Saigon). Check in at resort. Free time at

leisure at the beach for swimming, reading, sunbath … Overnight in Long Hai.

DAY 8: LONG HAI (B/-/-)

Full day enjoy time at the beach.

Optional tour : Visit Binh Chau Hot Spring, a cluster of 70 visible gushed spots of water at

different temperature from 40 C to 82 C formed a huge natural hot water pot and hot mud,

streaming out endlessly till today. This hot mineral spring source contains many substances

such as silicon, nitrogen, sulphur, sodium, chlorine ... has healing effect for diseases. Most

tourists who come here do not miss opportunity to enjoy fun of boiling eggs in the 80oC wells.

Overnight in Long Hai.

DAY 9 : LONG HAI – HO CHI MINH CITYC – DEPARTURE (B/-/-)

Free at leisure until time to check out (12:00), transfer back to Saigon. End of services.
