This summer many of the youth events we have planned involve water. This will create a lot of fun and community building, but let’s be honest- the most stressful part is the dreaded question, what kind of bathing suit do I need to wear? First, we must remember that we are a representative of Jesus always, not just at church sponsored events. Everything we say, do, wear, or put out on
social media should point people to Jesus’ love and grace, not deter them in another direction.
One-piece, or tankini bathing suits are preferred, but most importantly APPROPRIATE bathing suits are a MUST. If you have to ask someone if your bathing suit is appropriate, then it probably is not. We hope that conversations about what it looks like to represent Jesus at all times will begin in your home, and it will be a topic we touch on this summer at youth Bible Studies. We will ask everyone not in the water at events to cover up, put a t-shirt on, wrap up in towel, etc.
Allison and Trey are both former FBC students. They are excited to be serving with the FBC Youth Ministry this summer ... just ask them!
Summer Bible Study This summer during our devotional times at youth events we will be looking at some of the “Questions Jesus Asked” in the Gospels and discussing how we can apply them to our lives today.

Welcome our Rising 7th Graders to the Youth Group!!
This summer we welcome the rising 7th graders into the FBC Youth Group! We had a great weekend at Caswell on the Jr Discipleship Retreat followed by the Aloha Lunch where they all officially transitioned from the FBC Children’s Ministry to the next six years in the FBC Youth group. You ALL remember what is was like that first year as a 7th grader so help us show them the ropes and help them have a great summer!
