Many of us know how hot it gets during the summer and to get more water, but does your child? Here are some tips to help increase water consumption:

-Put some fruit in their water! Putting fruit in the water helps toflavor it slightly. Try out some different fruits with your child. Somecommon combinations are lemons, strawberries, oranges.

-Make it a family challenge! Everyone brings water to work/campand everyone brings home an empty water bottle!

-For older children, walk them through a time they have been thirstyand explain the importance of water for our bodies to function. Youcan remind them about other living things that need water, suchanimals and plants!
