Rockport Music celebrates its 35th year for the Rockport Chamber Music Festival and 6th year in the seaside Shalin Liu Performance Center. This summer, Rockport Music is hosting a Summer Jazz Gala featuring Wynton Marsalis with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra and returning the Opening Night Concert to the Festival. This year’s special Opening Night features legendary pianist Menahem Pressler with the award-winning Parker String Quartet.

The 5th Annual Rockport Jazz Festival opens with Terence Blanchard on August 11 and continues to sizzle with jazz all summer long with such greats as Chick Corea and Dianne Reeves. Take a moment to peruse all our summer offerings which include folk icons Arlo Guthrie and Ani DiFranco. The Zulu-based ensemble—known for their distinct style of a cappella singing which combines powerful vocals with intricate harmonies and dynamic coordinated dance moves—has been nominated for 16 Grammy Awards (winning four). This year marks the 30th anniversary of their historic collaboration with Paul Simon on his revered Graceland album, a partnership which helped launch Ladysmith Black Mambazo to the world stage.
