Office of Financial Aid Summer 2020 Financial Aid Application My Name: ________________________________________________________ My UTPB Student ID number: __________________________________ I want to be considered for Summer 2020 financial aid. I understand the following to be true about how potential awards may be offered to me: 1. Summer is typically an optional period of enrollment, and as such many sources of financial aid that might be available to me in Fall and/or Spring terms will likely not be available to me in Summer. This means that I expect to potentially receive less aid in Summer than what I might receive in other terms. 2. The Financial Aid Office will award me any aid offered with the assumption that I will be enrolled Full Time, as defined by our Registrar for my program, for the entire Summer period. This does not mean that I have to enroll full time, but it does mean that my offer will be for full time enrollment. If I am enrolled less than full time (or not at all) after the Summer Drop/Add date(s), I understand that my aid will be adjusted (reduced or cancelled) in response to my finalized level of enrollment. 3. I understand that the Financial Aid Office will use my current year (2019-2020) FAFSA to determine what amounts of aid I might qualify to receive in the Summer term(s). If I have not filed a valid FAFSA for the current year (2019-2020), I understand I need to do so, financial aid cannot be awarded without a valid FAFSA. 4. Finally, I understand that any Federal student aid awards I might receive in the Summer – including Pell grant, if I am eligible, and Direct Loans – count toward my Lifetime Limits for those Federal programs. By accepting Summer aid I may find myself at a later point in my UTPB education unable to receive funds from programs where I have reached Lifetime Limits. I want to be considered for Summer 2020 financial aid. I understand the following to be true about how potential awards may be offered to me:
