AS WE HEAD INTO ANOTHER (WARM!) season of bookselling, I am reminded again of how grate-

ful I am for our partnership in putting books in the hands

and hearts of people around the world.

One of the books I’m most excited about this summer

is Permanent Vertigo by Joy Eggerichs, the daughter of

Love & Respect author Emerson Eggerichs. Joy writes

about the dizzying nature of dating, marriage, and family

relationships with an honest, life-giving touch.

In Wherever the River Runs, musician and writer Kelly

Minter takes us on a spiritual adventure down the Amazon

River as she explores the glory of God’s love among the

poverty of a forgotten people. Her book is a great remind-

er to me personally that the gospel is alive and powerful,

wherever we are.

Barnabas Piper knows what it’s like to grow up as a pas-

tor’s kid—his dad is the world-famous author and pastor

John Piper. In The Pastor’s Kid, Barnabas tackles a forma-

tive experience that we don’t talk about a lot in the church

and does it with grace, empathy, and wisdom.

In A Farewell to Mars, Brian Zahnd asks, “Are we as Christians

bringing a message of peace to the world?” and challenges

us to follow the peace-loving teachings of Jesus.

I am also honored to share the message of Jamie George

in Love Well. Jamie was outwardly successful for years but

felt stuck in his personal and spiritual life. It was when he

started subtracting things from his life—such as shame,

regret, and busyness—that he discovered a more vibrant

relationship with God.

Of course, a summer without a few good beach reads

would be like a summer without baseball. We’re pleased

to be launching bestselling author Diane Noble’s new mys-

tery series with The Curious Case of the Missing Figure-

head. Creston Mapes thrills us again in Sky Zone, the third

novel in his successful The Crittendon Files suspense se-

ries and Kate Lloyd brings us the final book in the Legacy

of Lancaster Trilogy, Forever Amish.

Finally, we’re thankful to be re-releasing one of the most

life-changing books we’ve ever published, Billy Graham:

Candid Conversations with a Public Man. This remarkable

book includes thirty years of conversations between Billy

Graham and the renowned interviewer David Frost. This

new edition includes a chronology of Graham’s life and a

foreword from the evangelist’s grandson Tullian Tchividjian.

Let me close with a quote from Graham as an encourage-

ment to each of us to continue in our calling to transform

lives together: “I know that He’s the purpose and meaning

of life.… It’s a tremendous sense of security I have every

day that I would like to pass on to every person I could.”

With gratitude,

PERMANENT VERTIGOHow Relationships Cause Us to Question Our Own Sanity and God’s Goodness

joy eggerichs

Through humorous stories and raw honesty, Joy Eggerichs compares relationships to a dizzying spell of vertigo—offering relational and biblical truths, and giving voice to the disillusionment that stems from relational wounds.

Whether single, married, or navigating that bizarre ritual known as “dating,” we all face moments that leave us reeling, even doubting God’s goodness. It’s called relational vertigo—and this book is Joy’s hilarious, honest search for the cure.

Joy’s charming first-person stories of her journey of faith, family, and dating read like hanging out with a close friend. Leaning into the pain—and humor—of her past relationships, Joy shows readers that they aren’t alone … and how they can move toward God when relational vertigo strikes.

T H E A U T H O RJoy Eggerichs is director of Love & Respect Now (www.LoveandRespectNow.com), a relationship ministry focused on 18-35 year olds that is part of her father’s ministry Love and Respect. She graduated from Westmont College, and has since studied at Regent College and Western Seminary. A gifted speaker, blogger, and researcher, Joy speaks at colleges and universities, and events such as Catalyst and AACC. She resides in Portland, Oregon.

A FAREWELL TO MARSAn Evangelical Pastor’s Journey Toward the Biblical Gospel of Peace

brian zahnd

One pastor’s move from unquestioning nationalism to the gospel of peace.

Jesus taught that peace is the radical reality of the kingdom of God. But are we bringing a message of peace to this world? Author and pastor Brian Zahnd walks readers through his own journey from embracing violence to pronouncing peace, using Scripture, prayer, study, and reflection. From the prophecies of Isaiah to the teachings of the Prince of Peace Himself, Scripture unveils a God who desires peace for His people. God’s kingdom would not be managed and defended by wars, violence, and vengeance. This kingdom rises up out of the rich soil of sacrifice and surrender.

Brian Zahnd challenges readers to follow the teachings of Jesus, just as we strive to follow the person of Jesus.

T H E A U T H O RBrian Zahnd is the founder and lead pastor of Word of Life Church, a nondenominational congregation in St. Joseph, Missouri. Brian is a passionate reader of theology and philosophy, an avid hiker and mountain climber, and an authority on all things Bob Dylan. Brian and his wife, Peri, have three adult sons and three grandchildren.

LOVE WELLLiving Life Unrehearsed and Unstuck

jamie george

Love Well exposes the cycle of paralyzing shame, fear, and hopelessness that plagues so many. Through deeply personal stories, Jamie George reveals how to start moving forward toward hope and freedom.

Personally, he also knows what it’s like to struggle and feel stuck. Outwardly successful, he struggled privately with doubt over his new calling and his downwardly spiraling marriage.

In time, he learned what it meant to become an apprentice in the art of unrehearsed living. God showed him how to embrace a journey of subtraction—letting go of shame, regret, and all that bogged him down to allow space for the deeper rhythms of relationship and faith.

Love Well is a revolutionary book that invites readers to make the shift and start moving forward—toward God, others, and life!

T H E A U T H O RJamie George founded The Journey Church in Franklin, Tennessee in 2006 as a safe haven for the “religiously wounded.” Acclaimed worship band All Sons & Daughters was birthed in this faith community. In addition to writing Love Well, George is coauthoring a curriculum with New York Times bestselling novelist Karen Kingsbury. Jamie lives with his wife and four children in and serves the community of Franklin, Tennessee.

CHARIS God’s Scandalous Grace for Us

preston sprinkle

Take a journey into Charis—where harlots are hugged, enemies are enjoyed, and really bad people receive really good things from a Creator who stubbornly delights in undelightful people.

Grace is a dangerous topic. We want to domesticate it, calm it down, and stuff it into a blue blazer and a pair of khakis. But biblical grace—or charis—doesn’t like to settle down. Grace is a dangerous topic because the Bible is a dangerous book.

Charis flows from the author’s half dozen years of teaching the Old Testament to college students. You might think that would produce a book about judgment, but Preston shows how every character, every event, every single page of the Old Testament bleeds grace. Rather than looking for heroes to emulate, readers discover a gracious God who loves to redeem the unredeemable.

T H E A U T H O RPreston Sprinkle, PhD, MDiv teaches Biblical Studies at Eternity Bible College in Simi Valley, California. He coauthored the New York Times Bestselling Erasing Hell with Francis Chan and is the author of the recently published Fight: A Christian Case for Non-Violence. He resides in California, along with his wife and four children.

ONE WAY LOVE DVD STUDY RESOURCE tullian tchividjian

Bestselling author Tullian Tchividjian ushers viewers and small groups into a fresh encounter with God’s inexhaustible grace on this 6-session DVD companion study to One Way Love.

Real life is long on law and short on grace. We’re supposed to have a stable marriage, successful children, and a certain quality of life. The guilt, anxiety, and uncertainty of daily life are heavy burdens for all. In this DVD study resource, Tchividjian shows that Christianity is not about good people getting better. Rather, it is good news for bad people coping with their failure to be good.

Tchividjian calls the church to abandon our play-it-safe religion and to embrace God’s unflinching grace. Each 10-15 minute session will include teaching, as well as interviews with individuals who have experienced this freedom. This resource is ideal for small groups and individuals seeking to go deeper with the biblical message of One Way Love.

T H E A U T H O RTullian Tchividjian is the pastor of Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, a seminary professor, and a grandson of Billy and Ruth Graham. He is also the founder of LIBERATE—a content ministry devoted to connecting God’s inexhaustible grace to an exhausted world through books, curriculum, media, music, and an annual conference. The author of numerous articles and books, including One Way Love, Jesus + Nothing = Everything, and Glorious Ruin, Tchividjian speaks at conferences around the world. He and his wife, Kim, have three children.

BILLY GRAHAM Candid Conversations with a Public Man

david frost

Most people know Billy Graham the preacher. Many know Billy Graham the author. In this book, Graham reveals a personal side that few have seen.

For thirty years, Billy Graham and David Frost fascinated television audiences with their conversations about God, the Bible, and Graham’s decades-long ministry. This book is a mosaic of those dialogues—a glimpse into a life of fame and family, prayer and politics, temptations, faith, and spiritual growth. Graham also tells engaging stories of his earliest crusades, his involvement in the civil rights movement, and his role as spiritual mentor to American presidents.

With a chronology of Graham’s life, a preface from Frost, and a foreword from Graham’s grandson, Tullian Tchividjian, this remarkable book will inspire readers to respond to God’s call with no reserve.

Using Paul’s radical letter to the Philippians as his road map, Matt Chandler forsakes the trendy to invite readers into an authentic Christian maturity.

The short book of Philippians is one of the most quoted in the

Bible, yet Paul wrote it not for popular sound bites but to paint

a picture of mature Christian faith. While many give their lives to

Jesus, few then go on to live a life of truly vibrant faith.
