#10 Wall Jack —The perfectly de-signed tool for fin-ishing up theinstallation of afloor or for workingin tight areas. Toomany times I’veseen great flooring

installations go awry around the edges, where aflooring jack would have been used to tightenthe floor up. Board Pullers fall in this same cat-egory and for the same reason, but boardpullers require a hammer,where a Wall Jack just re-quires a wall to push against

#9 A Vac System – It does-n’t matter if you’re a smalljob specialist or a high-end,big job, multi-crew contractor, if you’re work-ing jobs without a dust containment system,you are behind the power curve. Dust matters.Indoor air quality matters. A vacuum systemfor equipment is a must have these days.

#6 Vent installation kits – For the same rea-sons for getting #7, vent installation kits makeyour life easier, especially on retro fits of vent-ing into older floors. The kit is put into placeand the hole routered out for the new vent. It’salmost too simple and quick.

#5 Round-over router bits – I always had sev-eral of these on my job truck. They are perfectfor making a custom reducer if they are keptsharp and available. Grooving and Plunging re-placement router bits go along here as well. It’sone of my personal “most often failed to dothings” was keeping extra router bits on thetruck. Sure, when I restocked I knew I wasgood for a few weeks to maybe a month beforeI’d run into a situation where I needed a sharp

router bit, but heaven knows when I neededone the most, I’d find myself with nothing butdull or broken bits.

#4 Tape. I know this sounds very basic, but Ican not count the number of times I failed tohave the tape I needed. Not only for gamelin-ing, but tape is one of those things everyoneseems to overlook as the product that is essen-tial to a job, but always seems to be in shortsupply.

#3 Applicator Storage Containers – this couldbe one of the top moneysavers on the truck. I stoppedwrapping my applicators inplastic bags from the storeafter the first time contami-nates had me refinishing afloor for free. Mark the con-

tainers for your sealer applicators and the otherfor finish applicators.

#2 A heavyweight t-bar for the E-Z Way GymFloor applicator. Another product you’ll useonce and say “Now that’s nice.” Gives muchmore consistent coats than other finish heads.

to fill voids or hollow spots that arefound after the installation of a

new or existing wood floor. With the EZ-Pro Injector Wood Flooring Kit, a small hole (less than 1/16" diameter) is drilled into the floor and adhesive is dispensed underneath the floor, filling the void or hollowspot, eliminating the need to tear up the floor.
