SUMMER JOURNEY AND BEYONDAs we move into summer, we look forward with great anticipation to future growth. Over the past few

months of spring time, we have planted seeds of new programs and activities, and have watched withpleasure as they begin to flourish into a network of support for STEMTech’s worldwide expansion.

We know you will enjoy the pages of photographic memories from our Second Annual Convention (pp.8-10). This fabulous weekend was a major success, full of exciting announcements, excellent training andthree days of enjoyable socializing that people are still buzzing about. Since the Pre-Launches in Jamaicaand Taiwan, all STEMTech distributors now have the opportunity to build globally in seven countries.What’s more, the “virtual signup” program introduced at the Convention allows every STEMTechdistributor to pre-register “market pending” distributors in any country around the world! The number of“market pending” distributors per country will be a criteria for our choice of future Pre-Launches; and youwill have distributors ready to join your organization immediately upon their country’s Pre-Launch.

Also supporting our expansion around the world is the new Global Edition of The STEMTech StoryDVD, which allows you to communicate our Story in five languages. And EU RetailDirect opens thedoor to StemEnhance customers in the twenty-seven countries of the European Union.

Triggering thunderous applause at the Convention were the announcement that STEMTech is thefeatured company in the June issue of the prestigious Your Business at Home magazine, and Christian’sintroduction of StemFLOTM, a new companion product to StemEnhance® that promotes circulatoryhealth and provides antioxidant support for the body.

MILESTONESThis year STEMTech reached numerous milestones,but one that is dear to me is the creation of the STEMTech

Global Foundation (STGF), announced at the Second Annual Convention in April. The STGF gives STEMTechfamily members a single place to make charitable contributions to the non-profit groups funded by the company.

When we created STEMTech HealthSciences, our desire was to create opportunities for health and financialfreedom, so that such freedom could, in turn, be used to improve the world around us. We strongly believe that wemake a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give. Success is measured not by what we earn but bywhat we do for others.The mission of the STGF is primarily to improve the quality of life for children around theworld, understanding that this mission oftentimes includes supporting mothers, families and the environment. Tous, there is no greater feeling of achievement than the knowledge that our daily work is actively helping to improvethe world. True elation comes from the realization that we participate in a cause greater than ourselves. So as wedevelop the STGF, we will offer you the opportunity to participate at whatever level you choose.

And there is more good news to share: You all know that when we started in 2005, the concept that bone marrowstem cells constitute the natural renewal system of the body was still in its infancy. Only three years later, this conceptis almost universally accepted in stem cell research, the result of years of dedication by many scientific teamsthroughout the world, to whom we owe much gratitude. Their research and work have made our story possible. Yetit is STEMTech that has been one of the main forces bringing this information into mainstream healthcare and tothe public. In recognition for my part in this work, I was recently awarded the title of Professor Emeritus of theNational College of Anti-Aging Medicine of Mexico. This significant milestone recognizes the work we are allinvolved in, and it is a title that I humbly share with everyone who has played in role in STEMTech’s success.

When Christian called their names asrecipients of STEMTech’s secondannual Spirit of Service Award,

Triple Diamonds Izzy and Lori Matos werestunned. Brought to tears, Izzy says thatmoment was “probably one of the biggestmoments for me with STEMTech… and Ihave been fortunate to have many memorablemoments with this company.” When he andLori accepted the crystal award, Izzy wasuncharacteristically at a loss for words for a fewmoments, as “the significance of thisacknowledgement settled on me,” he says.

Izzy spoke of “gratitude for the people outthere, the wonderful people we have had theopportunity to work with.” He pointed out that service is thehighest calling that any of us can aspire to, and quotedChristian Drapeau: “We live and are gauged by ourcontributions to others.” Izzy said that it is “incrediblyfulfilling to come close to living by the standard of serviceestablished by Christian.”

In reflecting on the Award following the Convention, Izzyremarked that STEMTech has been wholly responsible forbringing him to a point in his life where service to others is

even possible. “There was a time, not so longago,” he recalls, “when Lori and I were reallyup against it. We had very little and had todepend on family and friends for help. So weknow how hard it is to struggle everyday just tofeed your family.”

These days, Lori and Izzy make service toothers their Number One priority, and theyhave taught these values to their three children,Adam, Cassi and Ellyn. For example, eachyear the Matos family “adopts” families at theholidays, and the whole Matos family goes outshopping for food, clothing and special treatsand toys to brighten the lives of less fortunatefamilies. “Our kids have asked that we all

forgo buying things for ourselves, so we can give more to ouradopted families,” Lori says, adding, “What better gift couldchildren give their parents than to live lives of service toothers?”

The STEMTech Spirit of Service Award occupies a place ofhonor in the Matos household. Izzy says, “Everyday it remindsus that no achievements in life are equal to those that come whenwe help others. And we are so grateful to STEMTech for givingus the opportunity to have the resources to serve others.”

It may seem a little ironic that the first member of the Chairman’s Clubis a woman, but the irony is probably lost on Teresa Curtis. She hasnever allowed herself to be stalled by a “glass ceiling” or any other

gender-based impediments to business success. From the outset, Teresahas treated her STEMTech distributorship as a business, pointing out, “Irealize that to succeed, at least ten others have to become Directors andfive have to become Triple Diamonds. I make money when they makemoney.”

Teresa says that she prospects only for “entrepreneurs, because theyalready understand the concept of working for yourself and they are self-motivated,” adding that all she needs to do is direct them to theWealthBuilders System and TeleCenter. She says, “These two systemstogether give you a complete system for filtering and processing prospects.I use them consistently, because they are the easiest and most profitableway to grow an organization.”

On board with STEMTech since before the October 2005 Pre-Launch, Teresa made Triple Diamond quickly, then “coasted” while shetook lots of vacations. Reinvigorating her business after a few months,Teresa made President’s Club by mid-2007, then continued working andbuilding to achieve Chairman’s Club by March, 2008. During nearlythree years since the original Pre-Launch, she has attended everycorporate event STEMTech has held, amassing a great deal of valuablebusiness building information that she shares with her downline and otherSTEMTech distributors. She says many people call her “teacher,” andexplains, “Many people come up to me at Conventions and events andthank me for helping them become successful. That is very rewarding tome.”

These days,Teresa says, “I’m back in ‘recruiting mode,’ because I wantto further expand my business -- and go to Cancun – so I’m on the phonea lot, both nationally and internationally. But,” she points out, “even inrecruiting mode, STEMTech is a fulltime job with part-time hours. I lovethis company!”

As a physician working in a hospitalemergency room, Sean Devlin has

seen his share of patients facing seriousphysical challenges.Also trained in thefield of anti-agingmedicine, he hasbeen exposed, hesays, to “a plethora ofn u t r i t i o n a lsupplements filledwith promises.” Itwas not until one of the nutritional-savvyVIP patients in his personal practicedescribed some dramatic results withStemEnhance®, however, that Seandecided to take a look, thinking, “If it’sthis good, let me try it out.”

A dedicated exerciser and weight-lifter, Sean knew his tolerance level forwork-outs. supplements, mostly through the internet.He says that he avoided network marketingcompany associations prior to findingSTEMTech, because too often companiesmarketing nutritional supplements“promised everything but could deliver verylittle on their promises to improve health.”Even when he heard about personaltestimonials from people who hadexperienced dramatic benefits fromStemEnhance, Mitch was still skeptical.But when a number of his retail customersstarted requesting StemEnhance in early2007, he enrolled with the ProRetailer Pakso he could add StemEnhance to hisinventory of supplements.

When Ray called his old friend RobCranston in May, 2007, he had just

quit selling cars and was open to a newbusiness opportunity. “Rob told me aboutStemEnhance® and the results he wasseeing, and sent me to his WealthBuilderswebsite,” he says. “After seeing just half theStemEnhance video, I called him back,credit card in hand, ready to enroll.” Ray’smajor incentiveswere threefold:“It was a newcompany withp a t e n t e dt e c h n o l o g y,there were onlyabout 25,000distributors inthe company,and the average reorder rate was over eightypercent. With numbers like that, I knew ifI went to work, I’d be successful.”

Ray takes every opportunity tointroduce STEMTech. At STEMTech’sConvention in April, he shared theelevator with a doctor attending awedding at the hotel, who inquiredabout stem cell science, which he hadbeen hearing discussed throughout theday. “I invited him to my room, showedhim my WealthBuilders website videoand gave away my first Your Business AtHome,” Ray says, adding, “Now I have aretired hematologist/oncologist on mySTEMTech team!”

Carmen Cameron Diamond DirectorFlorida

AJamaican living in Florida,Carmen confesses that she was not

at all receptive when a friend tried tointroduce StemEnhance to her. But sheagreed to listen in on a conference call,she says, “and that changed my mind.”She began taking StemEnhance, buthad no plans for building a business,partially because her husband Cliff wasnot convinced there was anything toStemEnhance.

All this changed when a friend of the Camerons experienced aremarkable result with StemEnhance. “We both knew howlimited her life had become,” Carmen explains, “so when we sawthat she had regained a good quality of life, thanks toStemEnhance, we were both won over.” Cliff began taking theproduct daily, and now helps Carmen with the business. “He talksto people at his Jamaican running club, explaining the benefitsathletes experience with the product,” Carmen says, adding, “Weare both great believers in this product.”

Carmen and Cliff travel frequently between Florida andJamaica, sharing StemEnhance wherever they are. Recently,Carmen joined the happy group in attendance at the Taiwan Pre-Launch, “so now we have new contacts in Asia,” Carmen says.

STEMTech’s Second Annual Convention reinforced the goodfeeling Carmen has had about the company ever since sheattended the First Annual Convention. “I am so impressed withRay and Christian,” Carmen says. “These are people who haveheart and soul. We are fortunate to have them leading thiscompany.” And Carmen feels great gratitude to everyone in herorganization, saying, “I'd like to thank all of them for using theproduct, believing in the product and being smart enough to seizea good opportunity when they saw it!”

It was January 21, 2008, whenTom and Cheryl decided to

become part of the STEMTechfamily, enrolling with theDirector Pak. “After analyzingthe business opportunity,” Tomsays, “we saw right away thatstarting with the Director Pak isthe way to go. It’s just math…With the 81-bottle inventory,you can make a great profitselling at retail, and sellingwholesale is still good money.” Cheryl explains that they provide agood example for people they sign up, also. “When theentrepreneurs we approach consider their options, we can say, ‘Wedid it with the Director Pak. You can, too.’ ” Many of theentrepreneurs in their downline have enrolled with the Director Pak.

When Tom was introduced to STEMTech, he was veryinterested in the science behind StemEnhance, and decided to learnall he could about how the product works with stem cells in the body.Since he and Cheryl had been out of network marketing for nearlyten years, they had no “ready downline” at their fingertips, so, Tomsays, “We started from zero, working our warm market.” They soonhad ten legs, five of them very strong. “One of our stronger legsincludes a very aggressive networker who understands the power ofthree-way calls with his upline to speak to prospects,” Cheryl says, “sohe and Tom worked together extensively. Most of the people theyapproach enroll, and many of them are health care professionals!”

Cheryl says, “STEMTech has completely changed thedirection of my life. At StemTech’s Annual Convention, I was soimpressed that I decided to focus on building this business withmy husband. We love sharing StemEnhance with peopleeveryday and watching the many ways it improves people’s lives!”

Over more than forty yearsin network marketing,

Jerry has been involved with allsorts of products and thecompanies marketing them.Since October, 2005, when hefirst heard about StemEnhanceand STEMTech, however, hehas been single-focused:“StemEnhance is the top singleproduct in the world,” he says,“and it has a very strong company behind it.” He notes that theretention rate with STEMTech is one of the highest in the entirenetwork marketing industry, and with good reason: “Everybodyneeds StemEnhance – and now StemFLO, too,” he says. “Thatmeans that STEMTech is a great network marketingopportunity.”

Jerry says he does “tons” of three-way calls, “way deep” in hisorganization, explaining, “I want everybody to be successful.Everyday I wake up and ask myself, ‘Who can I help today?’” Hesays that it is important for new distributors to get anorganization twenty wide on AutoShip as fast as they can.“When I get a leader on whatever level,” he says, “I work withthem, especially during the first month, until they have enoughfooting. I believe that the key to building a successfulorganization is staying with your people, teaching them how tomake the best use of the comp plan.”

Since April, Jerry has been making good use of the June issueof Your Business At Home,” in re-approaches to some people whocould not see the value of STEMTech earlier. “One fellow wasalmost dancing… He had wanted to do the business all along,but his wife had said no. When she saw the magazine,everything changed. They came in FastStart!”

Since our successful Pre-Launch celebrations, our office has beenvisited by many potential distributors. The US Asian leaders, whostayed on for a few more weeks, recruited many distributors in Taipei,first introducing StemEnhance® to them and afterward bringing theminto the office. Once they visited our sparkling, professional offices andexperienced The STEMTech Story in Mandarin, they signed up.

To ensure that new enrollees have a good start, we hold seminarseveryday in our meeting rooms, training distributors in the businessopportunity, the product and the compensation plan. These seminarshave been averaging about 30 to 40 people in attendance.

I have been concentrating also on training our office staff, headed byGM Sampson Chu, in all areas of service. It is important that everyoneworking at our Taipei office knows how to explain the compensationplan and the basic science about our product, so they can answerquestions from new distributors. We are currently updating our websitesto ensure that we maintain compliance with regulatory agencies; and weappreciate the patience of stateside distributors during this process.

With more than one hundred new distributors on board, we areseeing distributors in the rank of Director and Executive Directorappearing in our reports. As we are still in the infancy of our Taiwanoperation, it is very exciting for us in the Taipei office when we see eachnew Director and Executive Director advancement. We anticipatemany more advancements to come!

Many North American leaders who attended the Pre-Launch tellme they are still excited about STEMTech’s opening of the Asiancontinent in Taiwan. I enjoy their encouraging emails. Triple DiamondMarijke Long wrote that she had never before had an experience likethe Taiwan Pre-Launch, saying, “This type of experience you can’t buywith money!” I am humbled by her kind words and those of manyothers. After all the hard work we put into preparations for the Pre-Launch in a very short timeframe, we are pleased that things turned outwell, and that STEMTech has had a wonderful introduction to Asia.

It was so exciting to be able to witness history in the making,as StemEnhance came to Taiwan. I was happy to be there towelcome STEMTech HealthSciences to Asia. We could allfeel the excitement building as Ray and Christian preparedto cut the red ribbon. Everybody looked so handsome in theirwhite gloves and tropical boutonnieres! When the ribbonwas cut, STEMTech was officially opened, and thenoisemakers added merriment to the celebration.

Many STEMTech leaders from the United States helpedto make this special day a great success. All of us whotraveled to Taiwan agreed that the people of Taipei areespecially pleasant and helpful. We had fun shopping – inquite fashionable stores – and sight-seeing, and we evenplayed ping-pong. We enjoyed it all. The Taiwan Pre-Launch was an experience to remember!

But the formation of fibrin in itself is just one step in this complexmulti-step process, and without the full activation of thecoagulation cascade, the formation of fibrin does not lead to full

blood clot. It simply leads to the presence of free-flowing fibrin mesh inthe blood. This is what happens when there is oxidative stress in theblood. Free radicals in the blood lead to the formation of fibrin meshwhose size can at times impair optimal blood flow. Fibrin mesh canreduce blood flow through capillaries and prevent the circulation ofstem cells in certain areas of the body, depriving these areas of thenatural process of renewal. Therefore, the two mainstrategies to support stem cell delivery to every tissueof the body are to eliminate the presence of fibrinmesh and to prevent its formation when it is notneeded to repair an injury. To do so, we havecreated StemFLO, a blend of fibrinolyticenzymes (fibrinolytic: that cuts fibrin) andpowerful antioxidants.

Because many products exist on themarketplace designed to increase the fibrinolyticactivity of the blood and to provide strong antioxidant properties,our mission with StemFLO was to search for the best qualityavailable, and that’s what we did. Most antioxidants are tested usinga laboratory procedure that measures antioxidant capacity in a testtube, not in a living cell. These tests provide interestinginformation, but the results do not say anything about the effect of aspecific antioxidant in the body, where it matters. So we used a novelassay called CAPe (Cell-based Antioxidant Protection inerythrocytes), and equipped with this assay during nearly three yearswe searched for the most effective ingredients available.

We discovered a unique location in Southeast Asia and developed arelationship with a farm that produces the top quality mangosteen crop,the only organically certified mangosteen available. When testedagainst some of the most popular sources of mangosteen on themarketplace, our source tested up to twenty times more potent.Likewise, we tested several sources of cat’s claw, one of the most

powerful antioxidant herbs available, and found the one withthe most potent antioxidant and immune-supportingproperties. Finally, working in collaboration with scientists

in the field of berries and polyphenols, we developed aberry extract that provides one of the highestconcentrations of polyphenols so far tested. And wecompleted this formula with curcumin and rehmannia, two

botanical ingredients that are not yet generally known bymost people, but that are very well known in herbal sciences for

their antioxidant properties and their ability to help purify the blood andsupport optimal blood circulation.

What is novel in the StemFLO formula is the blend of powerfulantioxidant and fibrinolytic properties, aiming at supporting optimalblood flow in the capillaries to optimize stem cell delivery to every tissueof the body. The novelty of this approach is such that a patent has beenfiled on StemFLO,concentrating on the physiological effect of blendingtogether strong antioxidant and fibrinolytic botanical ingredients.

Now, this is all good theory, but how can we determine whetherStemFLO effectively improves blood circulation in the body? There aremany tests to measure blood circulation,but only one that can effectivelymeasure circulation in the capillaries, the smallest blood vessels wherestem cell migration takes place.

StemFLO was designed essentially to dotwo things to promote optimal blood flowand circulation of stem cells in the body: 1 To reduce existing fibrin in the blood; and 2 To prevent the formation of fibrin.

One of the blood’s main roles is to carry oxygen to every part ofthe body. The network of capillaries is so extensive that most tissuecells lay within 3-4 cells from a capillary. When there is optimal bloodcirculation, the delivery of oxygen is plenty and oxygen diffusesthrough the tissue. It is possible to monitor this phenomenon bymeasuring the amount of oxygen released through the skin by thecapillaries located in the superficial layers of the skin. However, whenoxygen delivery is impaired by reduced blood flow through thecapillaries, the level of trans-cutaneous oxygen can fall significantly.Therefore, we measured the amount of oxygen released through theskin before and after consumption of StemFLO

When an individual lies down and rests, the lack of movementslowly reduces the amount of blood flowing through the skin, and thereis a normal reduction in trans-cutaneous oxygen (as the blue line showsin the graph). When StemFLO is given to individuals, within twentyminutes there is a reversal of that phenomenon, indicating an improvedblood circulation through capillaries. By digesting fibrin in the bloodand preventing fibrin formation, StemFLO promotes optimal capillarycirculation throughout the body.

So what is the best way of taking StemFLO? It is important notto take StemFLO at mealtime. When StemFLO is taken with ameal, the enzymes would be somewhat consumed during the processof digestion. It is also important to take StemFLO along withStemEnhance®, so that the stem cells released from the bone marrowcan best take advantage of the improved capillary circulationthroughout the body. If a person wants to take additional StemFLOto further improve blood circulation, it is probably better to take itmore often during the day than to take more capsules at once.

Measuring the level of oxygen that permeates through the skin is anaccurate way of estimating capillary blood flow. Upon lying down, it isnormal to see the level of trans-cutaneous oxygen decrease (blue line).In this situation, any change in capillary flow can be detected as anincrease in trans-cutaneous oxygen release. Within minutes afterconsumption of StemFlo, capillary flow is significantly improved (redline). Lines represent the average of three tests in one individual.

Blood coagulation can be triggered by irregularities in thecardiovascular system (intrinsic system; top left) or by actual injuriesto tissues (extrinsic system; top right). Both systems lead to theactivation of a series of compounds whose common end point is thetransformation of prothrombin into thrombin, and then thetransformation by thrombin of fibrinogen into fibrin mesh. During thenormal coagulation proces, the formation of thrombin also triggersthe cross-linking of fibrin to complete the formation of the blood clot.When fibrinogen is transformed into fibrin mesh by the action of freeradicals, this isolated process does not lead to full blood clot butsimply to soluble fibrin mesh floating in the circulation.

An expert in hematology, Dr. Joyce was a guest on a cable TVshow about breast cancer, hosted by Ethel Lover. Because Ethelknew of Joyce’s great fascination with the science of adult stemcells, she called Joyce later to introduce her to StemEnhance®.Dr. Joyce and her son began taking StemEnhance, and she beganrecommending it to her clients at the Wellness Center. “WhenI saw improvement in myself and my son, who has serious healthchallenges, and when my clients reported dramatic results, Irealized at once that this is real,” Dr. Joyce says.

Irene MasciFlorida

Like many people, Irene was unaware inlate 2005 that we humans have stem cells inour bodies. But she was intrigued by thebreakthrough science behind StemEnhance,and she was highly motivated to learneverything about the unique product and theassociated business opportunity. Having recently lost a daughter tocancer and facing some physical problems herself, Irene wanted to

It is very hard to catch up withChris Rucker, because she is usuallyoff somewhere in the United Statesor abroad, presenting healtheducation and lifestyle seminars forchurch groups. Her weekend classes

stress the importance of a lifestyle that includes exercise,proper nutrition and dietary supplements. A wellness educatorsince 1970, Chris took her message into the spiritual realm in1983. “Wellness and spirituality are a perfect fit,” she explains.

Jeff Schofield’s connection to Taiwanbegan back in the late Seventies, whenhe served there as a missionary andbecame fluent in Mandarin. In 1983, hereturned to Taiwan on a successful questto locate the aged mother of a friend,and he has wanted to return to the

country ever since.His opportunity came in May, when Jeff joined the

celebratory Pre-Launch of Taiwan, staying on in the countrywith the family he had come to know on his first two visitsnearly thirty years ago. “The opportunity in Asia is awesome,”he says, “and with my ability to speak Mandarin, I hope todevelop a large group there.” He and his wife Claire plan toreturn to Taiwan together to teach English part-time and dotheir STEMTech business fulltime. He feels thatStemEnhance® is a perfect fit with the Asian approach towellness. “I see StemEnhance as a blessing which will awakenthe forgotten memory of the oneness of all humanity, asrecorded in the adult stem cell,” he says.

When Sal and Val want a changefrom their lives in the Northeast,theyhead for their condo in Ft. Myers,Florida. Over the last couple of years,the Vaccaros have put their “vacation”time to good use, holdingopportunity meetings to introduceStemEnhance® and STEMTech totheir neighbors, some who arefulltime Floridians and some who arefellow “snowbirds.”
