Lachlan PSSA Athletics Carnival We wish Annabelle, Eve, Charlotte, George, Patrick, Jack, Nicholas, Joel and Lizzie the best of luck at the Lachlan PSSA Athletics carnival on Friday. Thank you to Mrs Reid and Mr West for managing the team this year. Also, thank you to parents for transporting their children to participate in the carnival. We hope you all have a fabulous day and we look forward to hearing the results. Small Schools Touch Football Mr Pudya and Mr West have organised the Forbes Small Schools touch football to go ahead on Friday the 6th of August. This game was postponed at the end of last term. Students who nominated for the team will be given the information at school today. Please notify me as soon as possible if your child will not be competing in this team. Book Fair If you are ordering book fair please complete the form on the back of the catalogue, make the online payment and return the form to Tracey by Friday 30th of July. A reminder for all families Students should not attend school if unwell, even with mild symptoms of COVID-19. Any person with any COVID-19 symptoms will be sent home and should not return until they have received a negative test result and are symptom-free. Even with a negative test, students should be well before returning to school. We understand this can be difficult, however, in the interest of everyone’s health we ask that parents adhere to this guideline. Please contact the school if you have any questions. Grenfell Show Unfortunately, the Grenfell Show has been cancelled this year, however, our students will be submitting an art entry to be displayed in local business windows.

INLAND RAIL Inland Rail were going to have a meeting and presentation in Caragabal, but they've had to cancel due to Covid-19. They are hoping to visit again soon, but in the meantime they have organised an online session for anyone who is interested. This is the message from them: "We are hosting an online information session at 11 am, on Tuesday 27 July, for approximately half an hour. More information, including the link to join the session closer to the date, can be found on our website: inlandrail.artc.com.au/s2p We are truly apologetic for the changes and are very much hoping to be able to visit Caragabal down the track, once restrictions have lifted for everyone and it is safe again." WEDDIN SHIRE COUNCIL As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve, Weddin Shire Council would like to reassure the community that they are closely monitoring the situation. Therefore, the Council services in the Community Hub such as the Visitor Information Centre, Grenfell Art Gallery, Grenfell Public Library and Grenfell Internet Centre are temporarily CLOSED for face-to-face customer service for two weeks. The evolving situation will be monitored and assessed in regards to reopening in August. I will be contactable by telephone and email, however the Library is now closed for over the counter assistance until further notice. This is a challenging time for us all, we apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding and patience as we work together to reduce the risk of the spread of COVID-19.
