MILESTONE

HISTORYThe company was founded by Mr. Tan Ah Ping, who has more than 35 years of experience in the electrical apparatus industry.

He has been dedicated towards growth, success and development of the company. His belief and persistence towards product quality and teamwork are the two main drivers that have taken the organization to where it is today.

Mr. Tan’s desire to improve himself prompted him to enrol in electronic course. That decision has changed his life, giving him the necessary technical knowledge to eventually start his own business in 1978, a sole proprietorship dealing in manufacturing of transformer related products.

As time went on, the business grew and build value for employees and customers. It leads to business expansion by offering a wider range of products and services to a larger geographical market. In 2005, the company had successfully listed in Malaysia Stock Exchange Bursa Malaysia.

1998 Quality System Registration Certificate by SIRIM QAS International Sdn Bhd for the implementation of a quality system complying with MS ISO 9002:1994 Quality Systems; subsequently upgraded to MS ISO 9001:2000 in August 2002.

2004 ISO 9001:2000 (Quality management systems) for design development and manufacture of HID ballast, ignitor, industrial lightings and low voltage transformer.

2005 Success Transformer Corporation Berhad (STC) listed on the Second Board of Bursa Malaysia. CE Marking on products for ballast, ignitor & isolating transformers. Success Electronics & Transformer Manufacturer Sdn. Bhd. (SETM) was first established in 1980. Wholly owned by Success Transformer Corporation Berhad, SETM is first of its kind to be listed on the Main Board of Malaysia’s securities exchange, Bursa Malaysia.

SETM manufactures the most comprehensive range of low voltage transformers in Malaysia and supplies large volumes of industrial lighting to both domestic and international markets. Through the company’s dedication towards customer satisfaction and innovation over the years, SETM is now one of the largest low voltage transformer and industrial lighting manufacturers in Malaysia.

The company’s strength lies in the manufacturing of power transformers and electrical apparatus products such as automatic voltage stabilizers, detuned harmonic circuit filter reactor, battery chargers and testers. The company’s portfolio includes LED range of industrial lighting products such as floodlights, streetlights, highbays and HID lighting.

With over 850 distributors in Malaysia, SETM has long supported the domestic market. Today, the company is exporting its products to over 40 countries including Australia, Indonesia, Singapore, United Arab Emirates (UAE), South Africa, Japan, Korea, Sweden, Spain and Portugal. The company is rapidly expanding its business growth into global markets.

PRODUCTS & SERVICES


QPS is the brand name for industrial power products, electronic and electrical apparatus manufactured by SETM. Our well-known range of products include power transformers like the K-factor transformer, UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) transformer and marine transformer.

QPS transformers are widely in demand for marine industries, commercial building, laboratories, telecommunication, manufacturing, automation production processes and in the large electrical utility rooms where electronics equipment are enclosed. The transformer is used

to filter out voltage spikes of current and serve as step-up or step-down the supply voltage.

Other QPS electrical apparatus such as automatic voltage transformer, detuned harmonic circuit filter reactor and line reactor are suitable for industrial operating environment. With the continuous progressive development in all phases of our design process, we are capable to custom build transformers according to our customers’ specifications.

is specialized in battery chargers and testers. In our range of products, we have the Automotive Lead Acid Battery Charger series, Automatic Traction Battery Charger series, Standby Automatic Battery Charger series, battery testers and others.

It is designed to cater demands for electric and standard cars, trucks, forklifts, mobile vehicles and golf buggies on the road. These mobile battery chargers are equipped with a range of features to give our users an economical solution, ease of operation, robust and maintenance-free.

Our battery testers are accurate in monitoring battery conditions with multiple test functions such as battery load, motor cranking and charging system test. It is lightweight and come in handy for individual workshops and in the automotive service industry.



OUR FACILITIES

NIKKON’s Complete Lighting Solutions Workflow begins from idea conception to final product installation. We have the complete hardware, software knowledge and skills expertise to deliver smart lighting solutions. Our laboratories are equipped with advanced technology equipment for quality research, design and test.

We own the precision Spectroradiometer, a device designed to measure spectral power distribution of a light source. Furthermore, a versatile device Goniophotometer is used to obtain precise luminous intensity distribution, luminous flux and spatial colour distribution. The equipment is essential in our Research & Development, as well as lighting design department.

LIGHTINGOur lighting designers uses DIALux, a specialized lighting design software to generate original building designs, simulate and visualize light professionally for exterior and interior with the capabilities to render exact light distribution based on the customers’ requirement, performance output, consumption specifications and compliance.

Our lighting products are made to conform with stringent safety standards and are thoroughly tested for UV radiation exposure, temperature and humidity cycle. Our testing facilities are also equipped with 3D Printer, Vibration Durability Tester, Dust and Water Ingress Protection Tester to ensure the reliability and performance consistency of our luminaire.

TRANSFORMERQPS is a trusted and reliable transformer brand in the market. We are currently providing the most comprehensive range of low voltage transformers for domestic and international markets. A specialist in the delivery of transformer solutions for various industrial applications, QPS is capable of producing power transformers with capacity of up to 2500KVA.

We have extensive experience in designing and producing high quality transformers for any industrial, commercial, manufacturing and even at the most complex production processes. We also custom build transformer according to our customers’ specifications. Power transformers are typically used in marine industry, oil & gas and power plants.

In relation, our core competency is the manufacture of electrical apparatus such as automatic voltage stabilizers, detuned harmonic circuit filter reactor and line reactor. All QPS electrical products are safe, reliable and durable in which stringent checks are applied to all critical manufacturing processes.
