Tobacco Abuse One form of tobacco is know as smokeless tobacco or chewing tobacco. A small amount of tobacco is put between the lip and gum and gives the same effected as smoking.

• Substance abuse effects not only the user but the family as well.

• Child abuse and neglect is common when there is a drug abuser in the family.

• The substance abuse increases violence and risk of getting in a car accident.
