Project 1

Local Regulatory Reporting (LRR) Jan 2014 to Till Now

Client: Citigroup (UK)

Brief Profile:Citigroup Local Regulatory Reporting (Previously known as EuroCars) project involves development and support tasks related to Sybase and UNIX (Shell scripting). Basically LRR provides regulatory reporting solutions to the central bank of various countries.

Role:

Technical and Functional Lead Migration Lead Onsite – Offshore coordinator

Responsibilities:. Facilitating requirement gathering. Developing project scope baseline. Project Planning & Scheduling using effort estimation and work prioritization done. Coding, code Review and Testing. Project Tracking. Status Reporting. Production Go-Live movements and Post Prod Probe test. Support after the applications processes are implemented in PRODUCTION.

Major projects and tasks worked on:

Linux migration:

This project involved of LRR application migration from Unix to Linux environment. As per the CITI mandate all applications running on UNIX environment should be migrated to the LINUX environment. Worked at client location with customer cross functional team using Offshore-Onsite resource model.

Responsibilities: Done impact analysis and created MDD (Minor Development Document) and test case

documents for the migration. Packaged up all the scripts for LINUX compatible environment. Coordinated with multiple teams to get old C++ code decommissioned and to get java

codes functioning. Tested full batch (autosys) in the LINUX environment. Compared backend data generated by LINUX environment and got it verified against data

what was generated by UNIX environment. Followed up with central bank users to get regulatory reports verified and get sign off on

the same. Deployed to the production environment.

This project involved addition of financial reports for various countries. Central bank users of various countries request for daily and monthly reports from LRR. We add logic in LRR to generate Market Risk, Credit Risk and Large Exposure reports for end users.Also, support user queries and production issues in prod environment.

Responsibilities:

Understand change requests through BRD (business requirement document) and user communication.

Prepare MDD (Minor Development Document) and test case document related to each change.

Create new batch jobs (Autosys) to consume upstream data. Create scripts (Unix/Linux) to load and processing of feed data. Add new calculation logic (Sybase stored procedures). Write get procedures to populate data on LRR Front End. Support user queries on existing reports. Provide technical support in the use of LRR application; monitor the production

scheduling, execution, and successful completion of production jobs. Troubleshoots, diagnoses problems, implements corrective action procedures and/or

escalates to other technical teams as appropriate. Administers user accounts. Develops and tests user documentation.

change. Create curves for different type of instruments. Coding preprocessor scripts. Write scripts for Calculations to calculate prices for instruments in curves. Write scripts for configure output files to send to the downstream systems. Write Send Jobs for sending the formatted output files to the downstream systems. Major projects and tasks worked on:

PRC file migration:

This project involved of migration PRC feeds for Hamper application to the PMC Rates application. Hamper application was going to decommission, downstream clients requested to migrate five feeds from one application to the other. PMC Rates application snaps those rates from Reuters (upstream system of PMC Rates application) and sends output feeds to the respective downstream systems (PRC teams).

Responsibilities:

Done impact analysis and created MDD (Minor Development Document) and test case documents for this task.

Coded scripts for creation of new price sources so that curves can consume prices from Reuters.

Created new curves so that PMC Rates application can hold data which needs to be send to the downstream systems.

Coded XSLT scripts for creation of new Data Filters so that PMC Rates application can format the output feeds as in Hamper used to send.

Coded script for adding new output feeds for the downstream systems. Coded script for adding new Send Jobs, so that PMC Rates application can send output

feeds to the downstream systems when outputs are available. Deployed to the production environment.

Hamper query prices for EJV, MULLER and IDSI:

This project involved creating a collector and extractor scripts for Hamper Camps team. The Camps team needed prices from three sources (EJV, MULLER, IDSI).Also they needed that the hierarchies for these three prices sources be set up.

Responsibilities:

Prepared the MDD (Minor Development Document), test case and all related documents for this task.

Written the collector script for collecting the prices from the three sources. Coded the preprocessor code to process the coming input file from the three sources. Coded the extractor scripts for setting the hierarchy for the prices coming from the three

sources. Deployed to the production environment.



Product Control Audit for PMC Rates application:

This was infrastructure project. This project involved auditing of PMC Rates application. This was requested by Product Control team. Team wanted reports at 4:00 PM EST from the PMC Rates application. Reports have information about the changes made in application throughout the day.

Responsibilities:

Done impact analysis and created MDD (Minor Development Document) and test case documents for this task.

Modified existing stored procedures so that whenever they are called from screens or any other scripts it will make an audit entry.

Created new triggers so that whenever any user makes insert/update/delete to the existing tables of PMC Rates, it will make an audit record for previous entry and current entry.

Created new procedures for collecting data for the new reports, which needs to be send to the Product Control team.

Coded script for creation of new reports. Deployed to the production environment.
