Stylianos L. Papalexandropoulos has authored in Greek a number of books on Japanese Religions, especially Japanese Buddhism. Except for his PhD he has written: Θεότητες και κόσμος στην κοσμογονία του Κοτζίκι (Deities and the World in Kojiki Kosmogony), Ἡ ἀληθινή πραγματικότητα στό ἔργο του Ντόγκεν (True Reality in the Work of Dogen), (Ἱστορία τής τέχνης του Ἰαπωνικου Βουδισμού ‐552‐794 μ.Χ. (A History of Japanese Buddhist Art 552‐794). He has also written many articles on various religious and theological subjects. He has translated Japanese Literature (Ueda Akinari, Shiga Naoya, Abe Kobo).
