The Kalamazoo Spanish Church had been praying for a new church for years. In May 2015 they had two possibilities and then they received a phone call from a realtor with a listing about a third building, which could be even better. Immediately it was included on the evaluation list, only to discover the last one was the best of the three. The entire church was praying during the whole process of the negotiations. The church decided to make an offer for $10,000 less than the total value, mainly due to the repairs required, but it was not accepted. With faith they continued the process. The structure of the new building needed some repairs in the amount of $42,000. This was beyond the church means. They went to the Lay Advisory Committee requesting MAP funds for the repairs. Their request was approved. In April the repairs were finished, and in November a ceremony of gratitude and celebration was held for the Lord’s kindness and for the wonderful help from MAP. On August 22, 2016 the church planned the opening ceremony. Pastor Jerry Angelleti (who sold them the building), was invited. At the ceremony Angelleti said a few words and gave back a check for $10,000, as a manifestation of Christian love. At that moment, the church gave thanks to the Lord. This morning we invite you to become a Michigan Advance Partner by dedicating 1% or more of your income to MAP. The loose offering will be taken for Michigan Advance Partners. You may also use your tithe/offering envelope to donate to MAP. There is a designated line on the tithe/offering envelope for MAP donations. Thank you for sharing this morning and why not make a decision today to become a Michigan Advance Partner?
HousingRequestLevi Ellis is requesting if a Christian family would have a room to rent or is there someone who might need a roommate. He is having an interview with the Livonia Police Dept. this week. He is interviewing for a police in training position and will be continuing his college education and eventually Police Academy. Levi graduated from GLAA. He will be working full time while working on his college degree.
