Dear student,
You will soon graduate and obtain the diploma of Bachelor in Business Management, Bachelor
in Office Management, Bachelor-after-Bachelor in Advanced Business Management, or post-
graduate. Such a degree opens doors and offers you several opportunities on the labor
market.
But maybe you find your student life too nice and exciting to give that up already and you
consider studying further.
UC Leuven-Limburg offers several follow-up programs, which broaden and deepen the
competencies that you have acquired in your bachelor programme. You can find more
information on www.ucll.be.
You might consider continuing studying in another language or in another country. Or
perhaps you would like to gain some experience during an international work placement.
In that case, this brochure can be a first step in guiding you. This brochure provides you with
an overview of programmes that connect to your current degree, and that are taught in several
institutions (most of them are partner institutions) - in Brussels, in Wallonia and abroad. Group
Management & Technology has signed a cooperation agreement with a number of those
partner institutions so you can study there at special and favorable terms.
You can also find an overview of interesting websites, best practices , a brief explanation of
the recognition of foreign degrees and of the student service.

The added value of a master’s degree is known. If you have, furthermore, studied in a foreign
language as well as in an international environment, then this can only provide an additional
value for the development of your career. Studying abroad strengthens your future possibilities
in business and aids your personal development.
Companies and organizations experience the need for employees eager to cross borders both
physically and mentally. Obtaining a master’s degree in a foreign university will certainly help
and is highly valued in the business world. Many alumni who have studied abroad, occupy
important functions in different companies today.
It is important to know that, if you want to work for a government agency in Belgium, your
foreign degree will be subject to a number of administrative conditions. One of those conditions
is that your foreign diploma becomes recognized as equivalent to a national diploma. NARIC
is the organization that investigates this recognition in Flanders, for which you have to submit
an individual application. More information on the academic recognition of equivalence of
foreign degrees can be found on www.ond.vlaanderen.be/naric.

If you want to get more information about your social status while you are abroad or if you
have questions regarding a student grant, you can always visit the Student Service of the UC
Leuven-Limburg. This student service offers you, in cooperation with UC Leuven-Limburg , KU
Leuven and other partners, an impressive service.
