Becoming widow itself is a curse in Hindu traditional woman, then see the fate of 4

Early widowhood. 5

I consider The Early widowhood means below 15 years from her marriage. 6

And widowhood means losing a loveable and leading a happy married life. 7

This Early widowhood may be due to Mangalik dosha (Kuja dosha) or any other malefic planets 8

combination. 9

Sometimes the Mangalika dosha will overcome by the power full planetary combinations. 10

In some other times though the charts may not show the Mangalik dohsa, early widowhood is 11

possible due to malefic planetary combinations in girl’s natal chart. 12

One of the biggest fear in the Hindu society with respect to marriage is the presence of 13

Mangala Dosha or Kuja Dosha in the chart of a boy or a girl. 14

I have seen many number of good matches being rejected by people just because the boy or 15

the girl has Mangala Dosha present in the chart. 16

We will examine how Kuja Dasha affects the couples (five horoscopes), and malefic planetary 17

combination (five horoscopes) after their marriage results the Early widowhood. 18

Much has been said and experienced by our ancient sages and modern astrologers about the 20

widowhood of females. 21

Widowhood is always set back but if it comes soon after marriage or due accidental or suicidal 22

death of husband, this is extremely bad giving rise to extreme degree of terrible plight and 23

sorrow to the native. 24

Here I want to say that certain planetary combinations for such a tragic death of husband soon 25

after marriage. 26

For a respectable, loving, chaste and modest woman, nothing can be more dreadful than the 27

loss of her lawful lord, and this is specially held in great fear among the higher caste Hindu 28

Widowhood, therefore, is an event, which is looked at in different directions. 30

We know there are some angelic and modest women who love their husbands more than a 32

Deity and we also know there are some who treat their husbands with the greatest contempt. 33

There are some dirty women, who conspire with their lovers, and poison and kill their 34

husbands. 35

There are some godly women, who can no t brook the idea of widowhood, and even kill 36

themselves before their husbands. 37

Here, I am taking up the case studies on the death of husband in the early years of marriage 39

(dosha?). 40

All these cases on death of the husband were brought up for astral analysis after the tragic 41

Seventh house Vedic astrology is one of the most important aspects of Hindu astrology. 76

In a horoscope, seventh house can be related to partnerships including marriage and business. 77

All matters pertaining to marriage are ascertained from the seventh house. 78

The planets which occupy the seventh house, their star lords and planet owning the seventh 79

house are very important to know the happiness of married life. 80

Seventh house lord should not be in 6th, 8th or 12th from the seventh for a happy marriage as 81

per seventh house Vedic astrology. 82

If Mars is in 7th house sure guarantee of two marriages. 83

Mercury is a danger sign as the partner may be incapable of sex. 84

Indian astrology says that the relation between ascendant lord and the seventh lord should be 85

Seventh being a quadrant it can also give Pancha maha purusha yogas just like the 4th house. 87

If there is no planet is on the seventh house it shows its widow or single, including good planets 91

on both sides, if moon is waxing moon or raising, or Jupiter, mercury are also should be taken. 92

If in 5th house from lagna Rahu or Saturn or kethu, she have one kid and husband expires, 93

If (Saturn and mars) or (sun and mars) at the same house indicates she is a widow 95

According to Parasara's Brihat Parasara Hora Shastra, if Kuja is placed in the lagna, 4th, 7th, 8th 96

and 12th houses, without any aspect or conjunction of the benefit planets, then the husband of 97

such a women certainly have an early death. 98

Hence it is understood that if Kuja has an aspect of a benefit or is conjunct with a benefit, then 99

there is no dosha. 100

If 6 th & 8 th house lords are in conjunction and occupy the 7th house in a female horoscope if 101

moon with no digit strength occupies 7th house as lord of the 6th which will happen only if 102

lagna is Kumbha, if mars and Jupiter occupy 7th or if Saturn is alone in the 7th or if Saturn is 103

alone in the 7th house aspect by 8th lord she will become a widow. 104

Afflictions to 2nd/7th house/Venus/Jupiter indicate early widowhood. 105

Lord of 7th is weak and afflicted by Saturn and Mars indicates early widowhood. 106

Debilitated Saturn and Mars associate/ aspects 7th house/lord indicates early widowhood. 107

Lord of 7th aspects Saturn and Mars indicates disturbed married life and early death of the 108

7th house and lord are hammed between malefic planets without any benefic influence. 110

Saturn in Pisces (Menem) as 7th house, and if the Star Sun is in the Lagna he will lose his wife 111

and this can happen only if lagna is in Virgo or Kanya. 112

Jupiter is in the 7th in Virgo or Kanya and there are malefic in the 4th house from lagna, the 113

According to texts, the sixth, eighth and twelfth houses from lagna are considered to be 127

unfavorable and among them, the eighth house indicates death, losses, adversity, misery, 128

misfortune, separation etc., Scholars opine that the eighth house from lagna or the Moon 129

should not be tenanted as all planets irrespective of their being benefic or malefic produce evil 130

in one way or other when in this dustana (bad place ). 131

It is a general rule that the bride horoscope would have the eighth house free from occupation 132

of any planets. 133

( 1 ) Sun in the 8th house may cause widowhood or severe calamity to the husband whereby 134

the native will be drowned in sorrow 135

( 2 ) Moon in the 8th house may make her a widow or cause severe adversity to the husband 136

and even otherwise she may not have conjugal happiness 137

( 3 ) Mars in the 8th house and if such Mars is in conjunction with a malefic, the native will 138

have no husband or she will become a widow or reject her husband and accept a paramour. 139

If Mars in the 8th house in horoscope of a male is likely to cause his own death. 140

Mars in the 8th in the natal chart of a female will cause her husband's death. 141

Thus there is Kuja dosha in both cases. 142

( 4 ) Mercury in the 8th house may she may become a widow or be a grief stricken on account 143

of severe mishap to the husband if Mercury gets afflicted. 144

(5)Venus / Sukra in the 8th house. If Sukra is weak, the natives is likely to become a widow and 145

more so, if in conjunction with Kuja. 146

In any case, she will be quite unhappy with regard to her married life. 147

(6) Saturn in the 8th house may make the native a widow especially if aspected by Kuja. 148

(7) If Saturn is in the 8th house aspect by strong malefic in a female horoscope she may not get 149

married. There are some exceptions if other favorable factors in the horoscope are indicated. 150

( 8 ) Rahu in the 8th house is said to be a Vishakanaya or one who violates the tradition of her 151

If this combination of Rahu, Chandra has the aspect of Kuja, the native may become a widow in 154

A SCIENTIFIC ANALYSIS AND PRACTICAL CASES OF EARLY WIDOW HOOD 167

(1) Female born 1st June 1962, 2000Hrs. 28N40 77E28 India. 169

The prime determinant, the Moon, is placed in the twelfth house in the state of debilitation and 170

hence weak. 171

The significator for marriage, Venus, is placed in the eighth house and is weak in this nativity. 172

Rahu-Ketu axis closely afflicts the MEPs of the second, fourth, eighth and twelfth houses 173

pertaining to marital affairs. Ketu is closely conjunct with Saturn, the dispositor of the 174

significator for husband-Jupiter-in the second house and weakens both Saturn and Jupiter. 175

The weakness of the prime determinant and the affliction to the MEP of the houses pertaining 176

to marital affairs indicated curtailment in the longevity of married life. 177

The native lost her husband at the age of 34 years in the sub-period of Rahu, conjunct with the 178

MEP of the eighth house and in the main period of Mercury. 179

The significator for marriage, Venus, is weak due to its being in the state of infancy. 181

Apparently this appears to be quite a good horoscope for marriage due to aspect of Jupiter and 256

Here the aspect of retrograde Mars on the 8th house is extremely adverse for the life of 258

I am trying to establish that the placement of Mars in 5th house for the female natives may 260

cause widowhood. 261

She got married on 24/6/1904 during sub period of Mercury in the major period of Sun .Jupiter 262

and Ketu are 1* apart . 263

She lost her husband in the sub period of Mercury in the major period of Sun on4th Nov 1994 . 264

In the present case-1 ,as soon as the sub period of Saturn in the major period began on 16th 266

May 1993 ,the marriage took place on 24/6 1994 and with in five months of marriage ,her 267

husband was crashed in a road accident . 268

In this horoscope Mars and Saturn both aspect the 12th house which is 7th from Lagna lord 269

Therefore husband expired during sub period of Mercury in the major period of Sun .If we see 276

the horoscope carefully , Mars and Saturn are responsible for widow hood . 277

Therefore ,the planet who are under the influence of Mar scan bring widow hood in their 278

dasha bhukti. These are Venus and Mercury .Mercury is the 8th lord from Mars and joins 7th 279

where as Mercury is 7th lord from Lagna lord Moon and joins 6th. 280

Therefore, sub period of Mercury in the major period of Sun, from where it is 2nd lord, resulted 281

Suicide within three years 285

Birth details : Dob- 23/2 1976; Tob- 20.20; Latitude- 22*22; Longitude -72*08 Pob - Hardkhas. 286

She is a daughter of M.P . 287

Her marriage took place during Venus -Rahu period (3rd march 1993 to 3rd Nov 1996) on 6th 288

March 1996 with a smart boy. 289

On 8th March 99, father-in-law scolded her husband. 290

The shock was so deep that her husband committed suicide on the same day when she was 291

passing through Venus-Jupiter dasha 3rd Nov 96 to 3rd Jan 2ooo. 292

Thus she suffered widowhood just after three years of her marriage date at 23 years of age. 293

She was blessed with a son on 8th April 1998. 294

She got married again on 8th December 2000in Venus-Saturn dasa bhukti. 295

This suffering happened due to the following planetary combination. 296

(1) Ketu occupied the 8th house, which is as bad as Mars in the 8th house. 297

Saturn aspects the 8th house, Ketu and Venus in addition to Lagna and lagna lord Mercury. 298

(2) She was born in Jeshta Nakshtra 3rd pada. 299

The husband was eldest and also born in Jeshta Nakshtra. 300

It is THREE JESHTA. 301

(3) Jupiter occupies the 7th house in own sign Pisces. 302

Whenever Jupiter fall watery sign in the 7th house, it brings disaster to conjugal life. 303

(4) Mars who is the 8th lord, falls in the 9th house from lagna but in the 8th house debilitated 304

(5) The 7th lord Jupiter and 2nd lord Venus both obtain argotic navamsa which caused first 307

Hence Jupiter and Venus both are maraka for Virgo Ascendant. 309

(6) Moon-Mars opposition or conjunction in adverse for martial happiness. 310

Similarly, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn –Mars opposition and Conjunction as aspect on each other 311

Birth details : Dob-29/11/1972;Tob-11.00am;Latitude-28*20;Longitude-79*24;Pob-Bareilly. 315

In this horoscope, we find that Mars is posited in the 10th house with yogakara Venus. 316

The 7th lord Moon joins the 9th house under no malefic aspect. 317

Why it happened so within a year of her marriage she became widowhood. 318

This is a typical case in which an astrologer may not be able to predict early widowhood. 319

Following observation s may help us astrogically justify the death of her husband. 320

(1) Death of husband is government is governed by the 8th house in a female nativity. 321

The lord of the 8th house, the Sun occupies the 11th house in Martian sign Scorpio and Saturn’s 322

nakshtra Anuradha. 323

The Sun is under mutual aspect with Saturn who falls in Mars nakshtra Mrigasira . 324

The mutual aspect t of Sun &Saturn is always adverse and produces malefic effect. 325

Hence both Sun and Saturn occupy the nakshtra of Saturn and Mars respectively which is a 326

damaging factor in regard to the matters connected with 8th house, i.e. longevity of husband, 327

as Sun owns the 8th and Saturn owns 2nd. 328

(2) The 7th lord Moon joins the 9th house in inimical sign Virgo. 329

The Moon is shifted in the 8th house and obtains Saturn’s nakshtra . 330

(3)The lord of lagna retrograde Saturn obtains inimical nakshtra of Sun and 4th and 11th lord 331

Mars falls in Saturn’s nakshtra Aquarius. 332

This opposition of Mars and Saturn in navamsa is present indicating a disaster in marriage. 333

(4)Conjunction of Moon and Venus in navamsa chart is also adverse for lasting martial 334

happiness . 335

(5) Karaka and soubhagya ,Jupiter ,falls over the axis of Rahu and Ketu falls in inimical navamsa 336

Virhhgo However ,close conjunction of Venus and Mars in Swati nakshtra and placement of 337

two planets in Saturn ‘s navamsa caused widowhood. 338

The marriage of the female took place during Rahu –Rahu dasha bhukti on 8th May 96 and 339

husband expired during Rahu-Jupiter period on 17th April 97 which indicates the adversity of 340

close affliction of Jupiter with Rahu may cause such problems provided other negative 341

indications are found in the birth chart of female. 342

It is essential to look into Bhava calita chart without making any mistake in the birth chart. 343

The 7th lord Moon occupies the 9th house is shifted in the 8th house, that indicates early death 344

of her husband during Rahu Jupiter dasa bhukti. 345

Jupiter is the lord of the 3rd and 12th house and joins the 12th house with Rahu. 346

Placement of Jupiter over the axis of Rahu and Ketu is certainly adverse se for longevity of 347

She married a man of 23years of age on 5th October 1973 during Rahu-Jupiter dasa bhukti . 357

He was a pilot officer in I.A.F. Placement of Jupiter in 7th house is damaging for married life and 358

life partner. 359

In this birth chart marriage took place in the sub period of Jupiter who owns 8th and 5th house . 360

The plain of her husband crashed on 2nd March 1978 and that brought the greatest sorrow of 361

widowhood during Rahu-Mercury dasa bhukti . 362

The astrological reasons may be anaiysed as under . 363

(1) The 8th house in a female nativity covers the longevity of husband and Rahu occupies 8th 364

house under the malefic aspect of Mars and Saturn . 365

This combination alone is powerful enough to bring widowhood . 366

(2) The lord of the 8th house Jupiter joins the 7th house and 7th lord Saturn is affilicted due to 367

placement over the axis of Rahu –Ketu . 368

(3) Mercury is the lord of 2nd house and associated with Venus and Sun in the 3rd house . 369

Mercury obtains navamsa of its debilitation and becomes a marakesa in the birth chart . 370

That is the reason why Mercury bhukti which is 8th from Rahu ,the dasa lord brought 371

There can be mainly four reasons for widowhood in early life. 574

[2]Deadly disease, like cancer heart attack, brain hemorrhage or like…. 576

The reasons for death can be worked out rather than the time. 579

Kuja dohsa is alone not essential for widowhood. 580

I have given specifically five cases where kuja dosha is not present in the birth chart of the girl, 581

still girl suffered early widowhood . 582

There is a predominant role of Mars, Saturn, Rahu, and and Ketu is giving rise to curse of 583

widowhood. 584

If these planets adversely influence the 7th or 8th or both of these houses identical to malefic 585

signs, association ,and aspects ,the female is likely to suffer widowhood A male person having 586

Mars in the 8th house may result may result in his accidental death ,but this position will not kill 587

the wife . 588

But in the case of female ,Mars in 8th house ,may result the death of her husband Hence a 589

male having Mars in the 8th house should never got married with a female having Mars in the 590

7th or 8th house or having malefic there ,otherwise that promote to the possibility of 591

widowhood . 592

If the Mars, Saturn or other malefic occupy the 8th house in evil signs or with evil aspects 593

,widowhood may take place [during dasha bhukti of navamsa lord of the malefic occupant of 594

the 8th house ]. 595

The 2nd house also deals the death of husband as it is 8th from the 7th house. 596

The death of the life partner, may take place during dasha bhukti of the lord of the 2nd house or 597

navamsa or nakshtra lord of the 2nd house. 598

It is simple to find out the major period lord during which widowhood is likely to appear . 599

If early widowhood indicated, the widowhood take place in the same major period in which 600

marriage took place provided those planets have anything to do with the loss of husband and 601

indicate their role in befalling widowhood on the concerning female . 602

worst malefic responsible for the death of the husband . 604

The death may take place during navamsa lord of that planet or during the sub period of the 605

lord of the 2nd or 8th house reckoned from the lord of the major period, worked out first as 606

Mars is the significator of widowhood and Jupiter is karaka of sowbhagya yoga . 608

If Jupiter malefic for a particular Ascendant constellation ,the widowhood may come during the 609

sub period of Jupiter .We have observed that in nearly 50% of the cases ,widowhood took 610

place during the major /sub period of Jupiter 611

The death of the husband may also take place during the major /sub period of nodes i.e. Rahu 612

and Ketu. Dasha bhukti of Rahu-Saturn/Saturn-Rahu is also adverse. 613

The planets placed in the 7th, 8th or 2nd even in the 6th or 12th house may fall widowhood. 614

After working out the major and sub period of widowhood. 615

Application of transit further precise the worst span time for a female to be cursed by the 616

biggest tragedy of her widowhood. 617

We want to draw the attention that the transits should never be applied before working out 618

the dasha bhukti. 619

Reasonable number of females who received the curse of widowhood ,were born in the 620

constellation of Moola egg- Jeshta, Aswini, Revathi , Magha , Asleasha ,and Moola etc . 621

If Moon falls in these nakshtra sand aspected by malefic like Mars, widowhood come during 622

the sub period of Moon or nakshtra lord or sign lord occupied by the Moon or during the dasha 623

bhukti of the malefic planet who afflicts such a Moon. 624

Thus the period of widowhood should be arrived at on the basis of principles as discussed here 625
