will attend a mandatory Pre-
Departure Orientation during the
semester prior to your departure.
Partner Universities Programs: Partner Universities have agreements specifically with UM to send and receive students. There are over 50 UM partner universities for students to study at in a full-immersion setting. The 2 different program types are Partner Exchange, where students pay tuition to UM and room & board usually to the host institution, and Partner Direct, where students pay tuition, room, & board all to the host institution. Most UM scholarships and student loans (except work study) can apply.
International Student Exchange Programs (ISEP): ISEP is a worldwide organization UM works with to offer international education opportunities at over 150 member
institutions in over 50 countries. The 2 different program types are ISEP Exchange, where students pay tuition and room &
board costs all to UM, and ISEP Direct, where students pay tuition, room, & board costs set by the host institution. Most UM scholarships and student loans (except work study) can apply.
The University of Montana offers students the exciting opportunity to study abroad in one of over 50 different countries though 3 different UM Study Abroad Programs: Partner Universities Programs, International Student Exchange Programs (ISEP), and Faculty-Directed Programs.

specific topics while earning credit. Program
costs and lengths vary depending on the loca-tion and time of year of each program. Students
