Slide 2 FACT REVIEW The first five books of the Bible are commonly
called the Pentateuch. Slide 3 FACT REVIEW The Jews refer to the
Pentateuch as The Torch and they treat it as the most important
part of their Bible. Slide 4 FACT REVIEW The third common title of
their first five books is The Book of Moses Slide 5 Genesis 1:1 In
the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Slide 6 In the
beginning God The first four words of the Bible form the foundation
for faith. If you believe these four words, then you can believe
all that follow in the Bible. Slide 7 Genesis 1:2 And the earth was
without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep.
And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Slide 8
One of several interpretations of the Genesis account of creation,
the creation- reconstruction view, says that between verses one(1)
and two(2) a great catastrophe occurred, perhaps the fall of Slide
9 satan. This caused Gods original, perfect creation to become
without form and void Slide 10 Proponents of this view, point out
that the word translated was HAYETHA could also be translated had
become. Thus the earth had become waste and empty. Slide 11 The God
of Creation: God is revealed in the Bible as an infinite, external
self-existent being, who is the first cause of all that is. In
other words, God existed eternally and infinitely before creating
the finite universe. Slide 12 The Bible does not discuss the
subject of evolution. However, the Biblical view of creation is not
in conflict with science; rather, it is in conflict with any
worldview that denies God as the creator. Slide 13 The world is not
a product of blind chance and probability; God is the one and only
creator. Simply put HE CREATED IT! Slide 14 Genesis 1:2 And the
earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of
the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
Slide 15 The image of the Spirit of God hovering over the waters is
similar to a mother bird caring for and protecting its young. Slide
16 A. The entire Trinity, not just the Father, had a role in
creation. 1. The son Himself is the powerful word through whom God
Created all things. Slide 17 St. John 1:1 1 In the beginning was
the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Slide 18
St. John 1:3 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not
any thing made that was made. Slide 19 Colossians 1:16 For by him
were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth,
visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or
principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for
him Slide 20 Hebrews 1:2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by
his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he
made the worlds. Slide 21 2. The Holy Spirit had an active role in
the work of creation. The Hebrew word for spirit is RUAH and it is
translated as breath, wind and air. Slide 22 Slide 23 Psalms 33.6 6
By the word of the LORD were the heavens made ; and all the host of
them by the breath of his mouth. Slide 24 Job 33:4 The Spirit of
God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me
life. Slide 25 Psalms 104:30 Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they
are created : and thou renewest the face of the earth. Slide 26 The
method God used in creation was the power of His word. Over and
Over is stated And God said; Slide 27 Genesis 1:3 And God said, Let
there be light: and there was light. Slide 28 Genesis 1:6 And God
said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let
it divide the waters from the waters. Slide 29 Genesis 1:9 And God
said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one
place, and let the dry land appear : and it was so. Slide 30
Genesis 1:11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the
herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his
kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. Slide
31 Genesis 1:14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament
of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for
signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: Slide 32 Genesis
1:20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving
creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in

Romans 4:17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many
nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the
dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.
Slide 41 Hebrews 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds
were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were
not made of things which do appear.
