Reviews and final tests

May 2 to 6 - Reviews

Mary 9 to 12 – Final tests

Important remarks:

• Students whose parents have a past due balance with the school will not be allowed to take the

finals; this, until the balance is canceled.

• Students whose parents have a past due balance with the school will not be allowed to participate

in the Kindergarten promotion ceremony, 8th grade graduation or 12th grade graduation; this, until

the balance is canceled.

• IsiNet accounts will be blocked to those parents with a past due balance. All the fees must be

up to date including annual fees, lunchroom, monthly payments, and monthly late fees.

• From May 9 to 12 students will take their final tests in the morning. There will be no classes in

the afternoon. A light lunch will be served. Parents must pick up their children from 11:30 AM

to 12:00 noon.

• Final test repositions will be on May 12th, from 7:50 AM-9:50 AM.

Important information:

1. Final tests are not partial, they are final. This means they must include basic skills for each

subject covered in the semester. The structure of the final tests will be multiple choice and critical

thinking questions.

2. Reviews will include skills that will be measured in the test. Yet, those skills will not be

presented in the test using the same form or structure as in the reviews.

3. Try to avoid students being absent for the finals. Any reposition will only be allowed if it is due

to a justified cause.

4. Teachers will take their lunch break at 12:00 noon and cannot be responsible for the students

after 12:00. They will utilize the afternoon to correct tests, work on the grades in the isiNet internet

portal, and to work on the end-of-school year paperwork.

Sra. Magaly Jiménez Peña

Trabajadora Social

Saludos padres, madres y estudiantes:

Baseball Academy. Cualquier situación será canalizada por nuestra directora académica, Sra. Norma I. Colón.

Greetings!

Only a couple of weeks more and we are on vacation.

ENGLISH: This week we will be introducing two more consonants J and K. The students are really learning

by practicing. They are recognizing each letter.

MATH: We are still practicing numbers1- 50. Writing two digit numbers and recognizing symbols; addition

and subtraction. Directions and positions: up, down, besides, behind, far and near.

SCIENCE: We will be talking about gravity, floating and sinking objects. They will have fun experimenting.

SOCIAL STUDIES: Our island Puerto Rico and different towns.

Pre- k students are still practicing their fine motor skills. We want strong hands and fingers ready for

Kindergarten.

Have a good week!

I highly recommend reviewing, spelling and reading all the High-Frequency Words learned until the moment

every time you can. As well as the letters learned in the ENGLISH CLASS.

It is recommended to read to your child at least 10-15 minutes daily, let’s help them become great readers!

National Elementary Honor Society Members- Welcome and congratulations! Being a member of the

NEHS requires students to perform service activities throughout the year. Our first activity is the

collection of used towels, sheets, and plastic bowls for homeless dogs here in Puerto Rico. So far we

have collected 9 towels, 6 sheets, 7 plastic bowls, 11 cans of dog food, and 34 pounds of dry dog food.

Thank you for all your help, but we still need more.

Please bring your donations to Mrs. McGann in the 4th grade classroom. Remember together we can

make a difference.
