Students: Get That Work Experience While Learning Film and Video Production The Toronto Hakka Conference is Looking for YOU Student volunteers 16 years and older will have the opportunity to enhance their educa6on and student volunteer work experience by joining our video produc6on team to capture the 2016 Hakka Conference (Friday July 1 to Sunday July 3). As a volunteer you will serve the Chinese Hakka community by helping to archive the event and inform the public through video produc6on. There is no academic or skill pre-requisite required other than your dedica6on, mo6va6on and ini6a6ve. In exchange for your commitment, you will receive hands-on training. You will aOend a 2- day pre-conference hands-on videography workshop conducted by Producer/Director Stephen Young-Chin, a York University Film Produc6on graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Honours Degree who has worked in the film and television industry for over 23 years. You will be part of the video produc6on team of camera and sound operators. (Equipment will be supplied). Learn ligh6ng, video camera opera6on, loca6on audio recording, how to conduct on-camera interviews, how to manage digital media and many other professional skills while also aOending the conference sessions for FREE. If you’re looking to gain experience for further educa6on or a career change, the Toronto Hakka Conference 2016 video project may provide you with experience in event video produc6on. You will learn skills that will help you increase your self-confidence, your personal presenta6on profile and your communica6on abili6es. Enroll now – spaces are limited.
