Responsible for the application, extension and curtailment of student visa.
Transfer to Curtin Perth.

Important note!!
Violating the above, you will be black-listed, deported & barred from entering Sarawak for the next 2 years.
ALL Non-Sarawakian students are required to apply for Student Pass in order to stay legitimately in Sarawak as a student
This include Non-Sarawakian Malaysians & Bruneians who entered Sarawak under 3 months Social Visit Pass
Important note!!
It is the STUDENT’S responsibility to ensure that their Student Pass is valid. (Application for renewal must be made at least TWO to THREE MONTHS before the expiry date)
If you remain in Sarawak after the expiry date of your Visa or Student Pass (i.e.OVER-STAY), you could be charged under Immigration Act 1959/63 (Amend 2002) 15(1)(C) for a fine of minimum RM10,000 or imprisonment of maximum 5 years, or BOTH.

STUDENT PASS & VISA APPLICATION Applying for student pass
(For New Students From Sabah, Labuan & Peninsular Malaysia)
Documents required are:
Student pass Application Form (Imm 14-Pin1/97)
2 copies of passport size photos.
1 copy of Offer Letter from Curtin University.
1 copy of NRIC (front & back)
1 copy of Academic Transcript
1 copy of passport (detail page and stamped page)
Note: Open Application Booth at LT Foyer.
Open from 9.00am till 4.00pm.
You need to bring:
1) A copy of Offer Letter from the University on the student’s status 2) A photocopy of passport (detail page) for International Students 3) A photocopy of your Student Visa for International Students

Medical check-up
All international students must undergo medical check-up.
You need to bring:
RM103 for the medical check-up fees.
Group Hospitalisation &
Surgical (GHS) Insurance
All international students are compulsory to be covered under GHS. Optional for Malaysian student.
Each insured student will receive individual Healthcare Card (for cashless admission to hospital)
The Schedule of Benefit (what to claim) / Fact sheet about GHS will be made available online.

International Office provides advice to students who wish to transfer and continue their studies at Curtin Bentley (Main Campus). Application closing dates Semester 1, 2014—7 February 2014 Semester 2, 2014 —11 July 2014
CLASS ATTENDANCE
International OFFICE is required to submit the attendances list of all
International Students to MOHE(Ministry of Higher Education) and The
Immigration for monitoring purposes monthly.
If caught absent from classes for 3 consecutive days, International Office
has EVERY RIGHT to curtail/cancel your student pass UNLESS valid
reason are provided including proof (e.g. : medical cert)
