DORIS FROM SWITZERLAND DORIS FROM SWITZERLAND Dealing with physically and mentally disabled children is not a new thing for Doris. She is an educator for disabled children in her hometown, Bern, Switzerland. For nine years, she had been educating children at an early age. However, for the past two years, she educates more grown up children. The major that she took in college was also related to teaching children. Therefore, when she applied her project as an educator assistant at SLB Negeri Ungaran (school for disabled children) and was demanded to engage with disabled children, she did not feel uncomfortable. She was happy to be given the chance to directly interact with Indonesian children. Her fondness towards children was satisfied while applying her project. She was also delighted for having the chance to share knowledge and experiences with the other educators at SLB Negeri Ungaran. There are many stories that Doris can share when she gets back to her home country later, especially those memories she had with Indonesian children. The first activity that greeted them on their first week was Mid-term Evaluation and English Fun and Volunteering Day.
