Strengthening Collaboration on Regional Projects ASEAN countries and its neighbouring regions are presented with unprecedented supply-side

opportunities to reduce its infrastructure gap. Such opportunities are created due to recent trends such as the trilateral partnership between the US, Australia and Japan in mobilising investments for infrastructure projects in the Indo-Pacific region; the ramp-up of China’s Belt and Road Initiative over the last few years; and Japan’s continued support for infrastructure development in Southeast Asia, amongst others. Considering the above trends, effective collaboration among stakeholders has been identified as one of the key factors for determining project success. Public- and private-sector parties in Singapore and the region have important roles to play in creating ideal platforms for activities such as professional services and financing in cross-border projects. This panel brings together senior representatives from public and private enterprises, multilateral institutions, investors as well as commercial banks from Singapore and the region to discuss how collaboration can be further strengthened to facilitate the success of inbound investments into the region.

Track 2: Dispute Resolution on Regional Projects With the involvement of multiple counterparties and stakeholders that straddle across different

legal jurisdictions, cross-border projects may be susceptible to complicated dispute resolution processes. How can international law firms and arbitration centres in the region work together to establish an internationally recognised dispute resolution process which investors can draw comfort from? Track 4: New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor Under the framework of the China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstrative Initiative on Strategic

Connectivity, the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor is a trade and logistics passage jointly developed by Singapore and the western provinces of China. This passage links and facilitates trade directly between ASEAN countries and western Chinese cities, thereby easing cross-border investments to the hitherto less accessible and developed Chinese regions. This panel discusses the connectivity opportunities abound from this new corridor, which has received participation from China’s western provinces.
